After training here for almost a year, here are some of my thoughts. The instructors are all top-notch and they each provide a different style of Jiu Jitsu, so no matter what shape or size you are, you'll definitely find a Jits that fits. They provide a very safe environment which allows everyone to have fun learning how to properly strangle one another. I'm able to roll with a diverse and colorful(belt) group of people on a regular basis which adds to the learning experience. 🙏👊.
I’ve been training at Legacy Pasadena since July 2022. The staff, Professors, and coaches do a wonderful job teaching both the kids and adult classes. The members are very friendly and welcoming to new members. I love that they have a Women’s Only class on Friday nights! It’s a wonderful place to train.

My daughter who is 6 started about 9 months ago. She is quite shy by nature. Professor Dan, and all the coaches have been incredibly understanding and supportive with her. We have seen so much growth in a short time; not just her technical skills, but more importantly in terms of her confidence. I can’t speak highly enough about the team and environment. Signing up at Legacy Pasadena has been the best decision we could have made for her. Do not hesitate to try it out.
Legacy has been an amazing school for our son from the beginning. We have tried a few schools and our son is growing, improving and most importantly is very happy. The kids are all so welcoming and the coaches are very encouraging. They have a good balance of having the kids enjoy themselves as well as working them to make sure they know the moves and are constantly improving. We are thrilled to be part of Legacy.
This is an awesome studio. The coaches are super patient and both my kids love the coming here. I have to give a shout out to Professor Dan and Coach Geraldo. They are very professional and they make the class fun at the same time.
Legacy Pasadena is not only a great academy to learn BJJ- it also has great staff, and students who are all dedicated to promoting a culture that is safe and welcoming. The facility is always clean and they have quality BJJ classes for both kids and adults everyday of the week. Not only that, they have a huge parking lot in the back of the facility. I have been going to this school for the past few months. I really enjoy training here. The teachers make sure to create a great positive learning environment and there are no egos in the gym. The schedule is very flexible, which is important to me since I never know when I will have a chance to train.

This is a great facility for young and old alike! They just opened up again after about a decade long hiatus in Pasadena. Our kids (boy 5yo and girl 8yo) have been going for about a month now and they love it! The confidence they are building is priceless. The instruction is top notch and the kids truly love the instructors. The facility is very clean because they are so new and they have classes everyday of the week. If you've ever been on the fence about trying out something new for your kids, or even as an adult, I highly recommend this place. Professor Alberto Crane is the best there is!

Best instruction available in the “gentle art”. It’s not every academy that has World Champions teaching you every day. Beautiful facility.
Unfortunately I’ve tried to enroll my son here and for personal reasons have needed to speak to a manager, or someone to help me with paperwork, and nobody ever picks up the phone or returns my phone calls, even after leaving a voicemail asking if a manager can contact me. I wanted so bad to give them my business because I’ve heard good things, but apparently they aren’t interested in more business. Moving on!

The worst place I had taken my son to out of all the jiu-jitsu places. The head instructor paired my son with a partner who just kept talking and not doing much training at all. When I pointed this out to the head instructor he said that this is what he wanted the student to do. What?? I wanted my son to try out the gym, not sit cross legged and chat for 80% of the training hour, while other students practiced their movements. I asked him if he could pair my son with another student so he could get some training time in and he said no. In addition, the head instructor kept focusing on chatting with one of the parents while the other kids were doing the exercises. He didn't even bother to take the time to correct the students. Worst place ever. I do not recommend at all.
