Professor Roger Machado brings a unique “art of movement” approach to his teaching. It was inspiring to watch his private lessons with the legendary Dan Inosanto, who was 80 years of age at the time. I was impressed by Roger’s zen like flow and relaxed deliver of the art. A approach to the art that is crucial if you are looking for a lifetime on the mat. He is a master teacher and also a historical part of first generation Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in America. I highly recommend!

This jiu-jitsu gym is fantastic! The environment is top-notch, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Plus, the owner is not only incredibly nice but also boasts an impressive coral belt in jiu-jitsu, which speaks volumes about their expertise. A great place to train and grow as a martial artist.

This place is the best honestly. Yeah the price maybe higher than if you sign up for another martial arts school but roger machado is a nice guy and he is very detailed in how he teaches the techniques. So far I’ve been here 2 times this week and I’m already hooked onto it

If you look up the Machado brothers and see all that they have accomplished you’ll see that training here means training with a legend. Professor Machado is kind and welcoming and promotes a safe environment to learn Jiu jitsu.

The Roger Machado Jiu-Jitsu Academy provides the best training and conditioning I have ever experienced in my life and I am willing to wager that this establishment is the best in the state. Master Machado is highly skilled and very friendly. He is an excellent teacher who takes the time to make sure each student understands the techniques while placing a strong emphasis on safety.

I have been a Student of Master Machado for now 3 months and I couldn’t be happier. Master Machado always takes his time to teach the techniques and making sure everyone gets it. Every other students I’ve met have been very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Roger Machado’s classes, wether you are a beginner or an advanced student, Gi and No-Gi classes are awesome relaxed and sometimes challenging but always good vibes. I originally intended to assist 2 classes a week but I’m completely hooked and I’m now going to 5. I will see you on the mats !

I love this school! Roger Machado Jiu Jitsu is exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend it. I’m a Triathlete and I was originally concerned about getting injured and not being able to race but the school provides a great, safe & enjoyable learning environment. It’s awesome!

Not only is this a Roger Machdo school, but it's a school where Roger Machdo is actually teaching the classes. It's amazing to actually learn directly from a Brazilian jiu jitsu legend and coral belt. Master Machado's teaching style is very detailed oriented, and he really pays close attention to everyone's safety, as well. Everyone at the school is friendly and helpful, and it's been the best learning experience I've had.

I started training with Roger Machado about five years ago. I had known about the school for a long time but procrastination got in the way and I passed by for years without going in. I regret not joining years earlier. Roger Machado is an excellent instructor and fosters a great environment at his school. The other students are extremely friendly and helpful. I never felt like I was fresh meat for the more experienced students when I first started. An excellent place to train for both beginners and more advanced students.

Professor Roger Machado is very welcoming and an excellent teacher. He explains things well and takes the time to work with every student on an individual basis, no matter what the level of experience is. He really cares and is there to help, the camaraderie within the academy is a reflection of Roger's style of teaching. I couldn't imagine learning jiu jitsu from a better teacher!

So far so good. I started my first week, people are very nice and accommodating. Professor Roger is pretty good explaining techniques and patient with newbies. The only con I think with this gym is that it is kinda small since the number of students are growing.
