  My team members visited from Sheffield this weekend. All the guys were technically great, especially when it came to knee/half guard. Head coach John is a diamond of a guy and everyone was super friendly. If you want to train BJJ in Dublin, this is the place to be!

  Amazing atmosphere and high level instruction and jiujitsu athletes. Felt very welcomed from the moment I was talking to the Checkmat Dublin team to the time we spent rolling on the mats. Professor John Kelly was a superb teacher , and the whole crew were the same . I highly recommend you visiting this academy and becoming a student. Five stars.

  - First of all, the location is neat! Nicely tucked away in ballymount, it is difficult to get to by means of public transportation, but it's small and quaint! - Secondly, the coach is an absolute diamond of a guy - John Kelly. Always very welcoming and an extremely knowledgeable man. He is very down to earth, and will help anybody with anything ! - The guys down here are also very technically sound, and you can tell they are good at BJJ Definitely recommend

  Been over from Sheffield with my club Rebellion BJJ for the weekend training at CheckMat Dublin. Awesome vibe from this club. The head coach, the members, everything about this club is brilliant. Really technical rolls, I've learnt so much from them all and I cant thank them enough.
