Blind Fury Jiu Jitsu is a great community to be a part of for anyone interested in Jiu Jitsu at any level. By far the best place to train in Columbus
Love love love this gym! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Jason the owner is such a kind person and annamazing teacher. Would reccomend for everyone from beginners to advanced, theres always something to learn!
Started at Blind Fury with my 13 y/o son to try something new. Wonderful environment with an amazing staff. Jason and his team provide great instruction.
Best gym in town.
This gym is clean, inclusive, and has a positive atmosphere; I felt very welcomed / accommodated as a new student. I was instructed with appropriate adaptations if I physically struggled with something. I additionally received a great rate for my membership. My classmates and instructors had great attitudes! Def. visit this gym if you’re interested in Jiu Jitsu (or self-defense classes).
I started training here a little while ago, and I have nothing but positive things to say. Professors are great and very knowledgeable and teach class in a manner that is well suited for learning. 5/5 would train again (and i am :) )
Tremendous staff and great attitude from other students. The fundamentals class is excellent; advanced class is well-developed and creative, and the judo class is sharp and enjoyable.
I trained at Jiu Jitsu Columbus for a little over a year before I moved, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The instructors are incredibly supportive, especially when it comes to competition training. They push you to reach your full potential while always maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere. One of the standout features of this gym is its good Judo program. The integration of Judo techniques into the Jiu-Jitsu curriculum has significantly improved my overall grappling skills. Cleanliness is a top priority here. The mats are cleaned thoroughly after every class, which is something I really appreciate. It ensures a safe and hygienic training environment. The open mat sessions on Saturdays and Sundays are fantastic. They provide ample opportunity to roll with different partners and apply what you’ve learned in a more relaxed setting. These sessions have become a highlight of my week. Overall, Jiu Jitsu Columbus is a top-notch training facility with a great community. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their Jiu-Jitsu skills!
I don’t currently live in Columbus anymore but I still try to find somewhere to train whenever I am in town! Jiujitsu Columbus is my favorite place to come train when I’m in town! Clean, Spacious and the instruction is outstanding!! I also love that they gave plenty of professors there so that you never go without the opportunity to ask questions or see what you’re learning again. Would rate 10/10 stars if I could and if I lived in Columbus I would be training here full time!
If you’re looking for experienced staff and instructors this is THE place! The gym itself is spotless and everyone is very friendly. My favorite part is their attention to detail and passion for teaching the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I was able to do a class with Professor Jason Keaton while visiting Columbus for a combatives competition. He made our team feel like home and let us use his gym. Not only he is a 4th degree black belt in BJJ but also a black belt in sambo and a brown belt in judo. I would definitely recommend this gym to both kids and adults of all levels. Go and get some!
Stopped in for training with the Fort Riley team to get some work before the competition. The whole team was welcomed by everyone in facility. Had a great time working on drills, technique and situational sparring. All the instructions were great and appreciated all the help from gym members. Thanks Mr. Keaton and I look forward to training there again.
Great instructions and welcoming atmosphere.
Very clean and fun environment
Great gym! Friendly crew and very welcoming! Stop by if you are visiting in Columbus or make it your new home gym if you live here.
Thanks for the awesome training, and thank you for hosting Fort Riley Army Combative Team!!
Great instruction and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to train in the Columbus area.
Outstanding Jiu Jitsu club! Moved here for 6 months and immediately started training here, felt like a perfect environment that cultivates competitive rolling with detailed oriented drills for all levels. Coaches are top notch, along with a wide variety of students and experienced practitioners. The coaches want you to be successful in training and competitions. A multitude of opportunities to train in the afternoon, evening, weekend open mats, or set up a private class with one of the black belts. I would highly recommend this organization to all judokas, grapplers, and jiu jitsu enthusiasts.
Great place to learn jiu jitsu, for the whole family!!
Legit BJJ / self defense school, open and welcoming all experience levels. Supports military vets. I visited from NC while in town and participated in NOGI adult class. So glad I did! Check your ego at the door and be ready to learn. Thanks to all for helping me on my path! Definitely will be back.
Clean gym, excelent teachers, safe training partners.
They were all very friendly and it's a good place to train if you're stopping in town or even here for long term
At Jiu Jitsu Columbus, we are like a family. I have been training with Professor Jason since 2015. I have the joy of helping in the Children's program as an instructor. If you live in Columbus Ga or are visiting I recommend this academy. We have one of best black belts in the city. Professor Jason's experience is unmatched and with his charisma, this Brazilian Jiujitsu school welcomes you with open arms. Above all it is a great community of people. I encourage you to learn one of the most influential martial arts in the last 30 years, you will not regret it.
Posted 3 years agoJoined this gym as a complete newbie and I can say it's been wonderful. Great instruction and great atmosphere in the gym.
OUTSTANDING instruction! Welcoming environment! Everyone is so dedicated to learning and passing on knowledge! If you have ever considered taking BJJ, don’t hesitate! Go to Blind Fury NOW!
Greatest spot in the world to train. Incredible Instructors, and a friendly atmosphere.
Highly recommend, I’ve had a great experience with Professor Jason and his team from day one. The culture and environment at this establishment are more than welcoming and accommodating of all skill levels. Having been to various Jiu Jitsu schools across the country, this team handles and welcomes newcomers better than anyone I’ve seen before. Everyone is a great training partner and excited to help others learn new techniques. I look forward to training every day.
Great staff, great training, plenty of different classes to choose from! Can’t go wrong coming here!
This is a great environment for learning martial arts. The instructors have a deep understanding of martial arts principles and they have a passion for leading their students further on their journey to improve in jiu jitsu. The training space is clean and well-maintained, and you get a sense that everyone there belongs. Definitely recommend to all my friends who want to learn a martial art in Columbus, Georgia.
Highly recommend! I’ve been training with the Jiu Jitsu Columbus family for a few months now and I absolutely love training here. Emphasis on family - the team treats everyone like a brother/sister. I recommend this gym for a few reasons: 1. The gym offers three free classes to all levels of experience. If you’re in search of a new home, take this opportunity. 2. The Professors and Coaches are bought in to making you better with every class. In addition, they are truly masters of their craft. 3. They have a well structured training regime. You do not want to miss class because you’ll miss some key building blocks to your game. No worries, our teammates and Professors are more than willing to spin you up on what you missed. 4. You will learn in a safe environment. No one ego rolls here.
Martial Arts and Self Defense for all ages. I’ve been a member here for about 8 months and I currently do BJJ, Wrestling and Boxing/MMA for one flat relatively low cost. They teach Judo as well. They have enough members that they can separate the kids from the adults which is a huge plus when training with a partner. The owners are great people and everyone there is super friendly with a family style atmosphere. So whether you are looking to learn self defense, compete or just get in shape, I highly recommend this business.
Great jiu jitsu club, with experienced wrestling and judo teachers. Great for people of all abilities, friendly and welcoming. For potential competitors the club has very experienced jiu jitsu practitioners that are super friendly and great to learn from. Highly recommend!
My son has been going here for the last 4 months. Professor Jason and his team have been amazing! As long as we are living in the Columbus area we will continue to bring him here! Highly recommend for any teen or child!
Un lugar magnífico para toda la familia entrenar y muy bueno para los niños. Defensa personal salud y un grupo que té hace sentir en familia.
My kids love it!! They are learning so much!!
Great coaches and staff, would highly recommend anyone looking for self defense and discipline check it out.
Our son loves coming to practice and interacting with the other kids. The teachers are nice and they all seem to love him. I can see our daughter attending once she turns 3.
Jiujitsu Columbus (AKA Blind Fury) is an exceptional place to work out. I have seen a huge improvement in my son. He has lost weight, improved his coordination, seems to be stronger, and has a more positive outlook on life. If you are looking for a positive place for you or your family to learn self-defense and life lessons......then this is the place for you!!!!
Stopped in for a few days while visiting family down in Columbus. Everyone there was extremely welcoming and helpful, highly recommend!
I love blind fury. By far the best instructions I’ve ever received. Im dyslexic and they explain things in a way that I can understand . The owners are very polite and approachable. I like that they give important advice that is practical. Thanks
Very welcoming staff, with experienced coaches. I highly recommend this facility!
A very professional and chill environment. Professor Jason & Cristina are amazing!! I have enjoyed every lesson, and the friendly community feel to the Academy. Thank you! Oss
The people and the culture really make this school. They train hard and show respect toward each other, at all belt levels. They have black belt instructors at almost every class, and I’ve never lacked a drilling partner who will help me get better. Great instruction, great people, great culture.
I came in from out of town and they were amazing ! The teaching was great. The staff was incredibly friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for nice people and great BJJ!
I highly recommend Jiujitsu of Columbus. My son has completely come out of his shell. He has become such a confident young man. Professor Jason and his team of coaches are awesome with all of the kids.
Professor Jason structures his classes in a way that provides the most detailed explanations. The other students on the mat are extremely pleasant to roll with. If you are new, come early and stay after. You are guaranteed to find someone there that wants to review the techniques with you. Jiu Jitsu Columbus has something to offer everyone; self defense and if you want to compete.
Went here for 5 months and I loved how welcoming and positive people were for me and anyone new who came to train.
This is an OUTSTANDING place to train BJJ!!! The POSITIVE ATTITUDES and extreme knowledge of Professor Jason Keaton and all of the instructors are FANTASTIC! They can work with any body type to tweak the techniques to fit your size. I highly recommend giving it a try! UPDATE: After a year and a half of training I am still progressing. The office staff is second to none (Cristina!). The Professors are still as helpful as ever and help individuals improve based upon their age, flexibility, body size, and abilities. I STILL highly suggest that you give it a try no matter your age!
Outstanding school, teach you life skills, and respect for your fellow man
I moved to Columbus a month ago and wanted to continue my BJJ journey. Some buddies of mine trained at Blind Fury before and spoke highly of the gym so I immediately had them on my mind. I walked in one day and met Professor Jason Keaton. We talked for about five minutes and I returned that evening for class and signed up for membership. I knew I found something special. All the Professors, the staff, and my classmates are just phenomenal people. The atmosphere is conducive to learning and everyone exudes mutual respect for each other. Our gym trains high level JiuJitsu in a safe and effective manner. There are many students of varying degrees of experience who compete and win. Blind Fury BJJ is the place to be for JiuJitsu training in Columbus. Well worth the time and investment. - OSS
Blind Fury has been like a second home to me the past 5 months now. Besides learning high level Jiu Jitsu from 4 black belt instructors, the environment in the gym is respectful, clean, and quality. I really chose a gem with this gym. If you’re looking to train jiu jitsu in Columbus, this is the place to be.
I've been going here about a month and attend the adult classes. Great black belt instructors with decades of experience and great community involved. I 100% recommend!
My daughter loves this place. She's meeting new people and opening up to be more confident. Coaches are respectable and very professional. Highly recommend!!
Prof. Keaton is amazing! The way he explains technique is so that anyone can understand.
Trained in in many different gyms in many states with many different settings. I was hisitant to start training again, showed up with the intent of trying other local gyms. Blind Fury was a one stop shop. Have had no desire to look elsewhere. Great group of trainers and students. Welcoming environment to all levels and all backrounds.
My girls love to go. One is in kids class and 2 do the adult class. They are very good with both.
One of the best kept secrets in Columbus, GA!! Both of my boys, 6 and 3, love working out and learning with the amazing professionals here. It is so much more than just physical fitness! The coaches work on manners, respect and treating others kindly. The physical training they do is amazing and my kids love working on their moves with their friends! It is truly like a big family! There are tons of opportunities for each age group to train everyday and the communication is perfect! We get text and emails!!
Excellent at teaching basics to kids just learning and building confidence in themselves at BJJ.
Our whole family does jiu jitsu here, my husband, our 2 daughters (6 and 4), and myself and they are fantastic! Great coaching and a good workout as well as important self-defense techniques for our growing girls!
Some places give you what you want, while others give you what you need. Why not get both!?! 🦥❤️
I could not be more pleased with my decision to sign up. As an older guy just starting out, I was concerned about my ability to keep up and avoid injury. What I have found is that Professor Jason and his team challenge us to get a good workout while carefully instructing us. I'm getting in shape, having lots of fun, making connections, and learning to defend myself. I love it!
Pretty awesome gym! Great instruction and atmosphere. Been going about six months and plan to continue.
I fully recommend Jiu-Jitsu Columbus to any parent who is looking to put their child into Jiu-Jitsu. I love how every coach takes the time for every student. They always make sure that every child in class knows what they're doing and respects one another. Not to mention how much fun they make each class. My son is always ready to drop what ever he's doing and head to Jiu-Jitsu.
Blind Fury is an incredible training facility. I have visited a few times now and I couldn’t be more happy with my experience. From outside the Jiujitsu community it can be hard to decide where to train and what to look for in a Jiujitsu academy when you first get started. Let me help you with that. I have trained at probably 50 Jiujitsu schools all over the United States. Good and bad ones. This place is as legit as it gets. For you Army folks at Ft. Benning, you will not find another instructor in the area that understands how to apply the fundamentals of Jiujitsu to combatives and war fighting functions like Jason Keaton. If you’re not interested in being a warrior/fighter etc. and just want to get in shape and learn a new skill to help you protect yourself and your loved ones, this is a home for you as well.
This is an amazing team of people who genuinely care about you and your growth, not just in BJJ but as a person. Great training environment, very welcoming and will do everything possible help you.
Awesome place to train BJJ. Good class schedule for a 9-5 person, clean mats, friendly environment and the coach’s are very knowledgeable!
Very knowledgeable staff. Very professional. Super friendly and helpful. Very welcoming of all new comers of all experience and age groups. I love the atmosphere there!
I started to actually go to a real jiujitsu class here at this place and I enjoy it very much. The people are very good and helpful here. I definitely recommend others to attend this school.
I’m a black belt from New Orleans that was in town visiting. Jason and his team were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Jason’s technique is top notch, and the school was a wonderful place to roll and learn. I highly recommend checking them out if you are an experienced grappler or just looking to try a new hobby.
My kids love training here! They are learning a lot and having fun!
From the moment you walk through the door at Jiu Jitsu Columbus you are welcomed with open arms. Not only are you learning skills of Jiu-jitsu and kettle jitsu you gain friends and family. Some of the most friendliest people you will find in that Academy. At Jiu Jitsu Columbus you will not only learn all of your basics but you will also learn some of the most high level skills of Jiu-jitsu and other Self defense moves! Great for kids and adults of all ages. I can only tell you about it... You need to go in and check it out for yourself. The best Jiu-jitsu gym in the Fountain City Is at Jiu-jitsu Columbus!
Great BJJ family here at BFJJ. Awesome instructors who can help you achieve whatever you are looking for in Jiu-Jitsu. Whether you are training for high level competition or looking to get introduced to the sport, you will have both the attention and training partners you need to do so. Everyone is very kind and it is a supportive environment for all.
Great school to learn jujitsu. All the instructors are patient and promote a friendly environment to train. I have no problem asking questions and getting the answers I need. Professor Jason deep dives into techniques until we have a full understanding of how to perform the technique.
Knowledgeable instructors, welcoming community, excellent school for those beginning Jiu Jitsu with a structured and progressive curriculum.
I've trained at Jiu Jitsu Columbus for a year now. About half a year ago my wife began training there. A few months ago my son started. I trust the staff with my family. The staff have been kind and professional the entire time. It has become a place that I go to shake off the day and spend time learning in good company. I have trained various martial skills over the last decade and Jason is one of the most authentic and talented instructors that I have had the good fortune to learn from.
This is the best place to train jiujitsu in Columbus! The owner and his wife pour their heart and souls into make sure things run smoothly and everyone feels welcome, safe, and like family. The training and knowledge of the professors is top notch. All of the coaches are excellent and the gym is always kept sparkling clean! If you're just visiting Columbus or living here this is the place to be! Meet a bunch of new friends, learn how to defend yourself, or just get some exercise in...you can do everything at Jiujitsu Columbus!
I walked in the door believing I would get a chance to learn Jiujitsu. I did, but I didn’t expect to become apart of a family! I started my Jiujitsu here and can’t recommend it enough! Great Community! Great Teachers! Great Martial Art! Absolutely Recommend!
Excellent learning environment, everyone wants to help everyone . Coaches and students very welcoming. Jason is a very approachable guy willing to work with anyone who has the desire to learn, highly recommend! Also check out his youtube channel for some more info
This place Rocks!!!! Very outstanding and knowledgeable black belt professor with members that are very acceptable to incoming members.
I decided to give Jiujitsu a try (I'm 21) and I am glad I found Blind Fury Jiujitsu. It is such an awesome place! The comradery is inspiring! I was surprised (in a good way of course) to see someone coach their rolling partner on how to get out of a hold and then celebrate when being pinned. Professor and Cristina are so great! They are oober friendly and understanding.
Had the opportunity to visit and train at Blind Fury while at a course on Fort Benning for two weeks. Absolutely the friendliest and most professional school you could imagine. Really impressed with the instruction, the attitude of the regulars at the classes, and the overall experience. I’d give my highest recommendation to anyone looking for a great place to practice BJJ or just get a workout in.
We’ve been with Columbus Jiu Jitsu (Blind Fury) for a year this month. We love the school and each of the professors! The depth of experience and knowledge allows for my child to get excellent coaching in self defense while also getting a great workout in a clean environment. The classes are large and offer variety in training styles. We are happy to be part of the Blind Fury family!
I had some spare time while waiting for our son to start holiday leave and had a great time training at Blind Fury. I dropped them a line asking if they allow visiting students and received a reply in no time inviting me to the academy. Professor Dexter and all the team members made me feel right at home. Dexter is a great instructor. Super down to earth, fun, and a terrific teacher. Hope my travels bring me back again in the future.
Stopped in to train with some new faces and had a great time! The team was very welcoming and respectful, which isn’t something you often find when stepping into a new gym for the first time. Thank you Jason, Anna, Eric, Matt, and Dexter for the hospitality!
Blind Fury is a wonderful school. My son has been there for several years and has grown so much. My 6 year old tried it and fell in love the first class. She is now enrolled and asking to go to class every day of the week. The instructors are so good with the kids. Highly recommend!
My little brother (11) and I (24) started training here in March of this year, and the instructors are phenomenal. Professor Jason, and Coach Rob do an excellent job on teaching the kids jiu-jitsu, and life lessons. The instructors here really go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed.
I was visiting Columbus for a week and I stopped in for a class. Professor Keaton and his other instructors were very knowlegable. Very fun environment to train in.
Greatest BJJ gym in our area. Professor Jason rocks. I appreciate their enthusiasm and encouragement to my son. Highly recommended!
Great training environment and great atmosphere they work hard and are outstanding teachers in the art of bjj and love to share the knowledge . Expect to work hard , expect to sweat but most importantly expect to learn and have fun. Thank you professor Jason for taking me in as family while I was down here for school at Ft benning for several weeks.
When I retired and left my JiuJitsu instructor, 6th degree Black Belt Master Roy Harris, I believed my days of training in a great friendly environment was over. I have been training JiuJitsu since June of 1999. I loved training with Master Harris. Moving across the country, I had no place to train. I’ve trained at meat factories in the past before I met Master Harris. I didn’t want to deal with that type of training environment. I thank God everyday Master Harris recommended Blind Fury JiuJitsu. The quality of instruction is world class. All of the Black Blets and Coches are some of the most knowledgeable instructors I’ve ever met. The structure of the classes and the medthods of instructions, you can’t help but learn and get better. Professor Jason is a fantastic JiuJitsu Black Belt. Rolling with him reminds you just how effective JiuJitsu is. Not many schools have multiple Black Belt teaching. Blind Fury does. Not many schools have high level instructors whom still compete. Blind Fury does. Just an outstanding place to be and learn. Come train with us you will not regret it.
This training is some of the best money we have spent on our kid! She is growing in so many ways. The difference in her confidence and outlook on life is obvious to those that know her. Life is busy but getting her to the mat a few days a week is worth it!
I love JiuJitsu Columbus! great place to train is a second home to me , I've known Professor Jason for a while he is a good mentor and friend, When I first move from Mexico to the United States it was rough, I felt like an outsider but Professor Jason and his TEAM to me in like been part of his family. Come and check it out , you would get hooked I promise!!!
Thank you to blind fury Jujitsu academy. I was here in a trip to accompany my friend to her husbands military graduation. I had visited on Tuesday to meet master Jason and was greeted very kindly along with the front desk attendant her name was faith. I was curious since I was out of town if I would able to join them on some of they’re rolls on Thursday. They we very hospitable and were very flexible in allowing me to join them. I came in on Thursday night for the no Gi class. I unfortunately did not pack a Gi as my old class mate always advised if I ever go on a trip. Walked in and was greeted by “everyone”. They very kind. As training partners go, they stayed in control, were very technical and adjusted themselves to someone they’d never met in a very controlled and kind manner which expressed through out sparring. It was a honor and pleasure with you all. The majority of the time I spent with coach Charlie along with dexter, Tyler and Josh. The facility over all. The mats were clean and I even saw what looked like a child care room for parents who were busy rolling. It was slightly a little hot due to the summer but would I recommend it. Absolutely. If your in town, come see them. Thank you all. It was a privilege. Sincerely, Stephen.
3/4 of my kids that train here are special needs; they have blossomed and become more confident and more focused. They all love it and look forward to training. The atmosphere is welcoming and the facilities are clean. There's also a playroom!
Blind Fury is a great place to learn and train martial arts. Although jiu jitsu is the primary art of the school, Jason (the owner) does a good job of integrating opportunities to learn other arts such as judo, boxing, and muay tai to supplement students’ skills. Blind fury offers a safe, competitive environment to learn and improve your skills no matter what level you train.
A great school, with good facilities, and awesome instructors. The instructors are truly what make this place great, being patient, knowledgeable, and crystal clear in what they teach they have something to offer everyone which is obvious in the wide age range of their students.
Best gym in town.
Great facility and superb BJJ instruction from Professor Jason Keaton. I spent three weeks down at Ft. Benning for training and Blind Fury Jiu Jitsu became my second home away from home. Jason and the entire Blind Fury team were gracious hosts and welcomed me with open arms. The jiu jitsu instruction is outstanding and it’s a great crew to roll with. I highly recommend dropping in for a class, whether you are a beginner or experienced BJJ practitioner. You’ll be glad you did.
My daughter goes here their classes are great for kids. The instructor Charlie is great with them! They play games that help them develop movements to help them suceed in their training. Their schedule could be a bit more flexable but if you can make during the times they are open it's worth it. They lack organization skills at times and communication with their members.
So glad my family left this gym. It’s nice to train with coaches that don’t yell at us for forgetting to call them “Professor”
Terrible customer service. Attempted to sign my son up for a membership. Walked in and the lady at the front desk was on the phone. We waited patiently. After a few minutes we were told I needed to schedule an appointment. Never had to do that at any other gym. Then the lady at the front desk, without getting off the phone, closed the door as if we were a bother attempting to get a membership. Had a much better experience at Gracie Barra. We will be signing up there.
