Dropped in for a class. Very welcoming instructors and members! I would highly recommend stopping into this gym. Very good instruction, very tough rolls. I will definitely stop back in next time I’m in the area!
Dropped in for a 6am class on a Tuesday, as my family and I were in town for vacation. Had 12 people in attendance, including a couple black belts, which was more than I could have hoped for on an early Tuesday morning. Great vibe and cool morning crew. Appreciate Nick and Brett for letting me train as a drop-in.
Recently started training here and I absolutely love it. There's a wonderful community and great energy. The training is well focused and the instructors are very knowledgable and supportive. This is the place to go in lanc for all things bjj & striking!
I’ve only been training here for a few weeks but already can tell this is a great place to be. Fantastic coaching and very friendly students. Love it here
Was in the area for a wedding, reached out to several jiu jitsu gyms in the area via Instagram and they were the only one that responded! Very welcoming people and had great rolls, I highly recommend!
Dropped in for a visitor class with my wife. The school is somehow both high energy and chill af. Love the experience. Great grapplers and really nice people.
Great school and great guys! Very knowledgeable and welcoming. I was there for the first time today as I wanted to train when I was in Pennsylvania visiting my in laws. Had great rolls and they didn’t look out to destroy being a new guy and a white belt. Guys a super chill and gave me pointers. I would highly recommend this school for any belt level!!! After today this will be the school I will be going to when in the area!!!!
First night there and first time doing bjj great instruction for a beginner just really great can't say enough I'm stoked to be able to get back on a mat and this is a great place to do it.
Great place to get good quality instruction and leadership from people that care about our members well being. Extremely competitive room for the experienced but at the same time a great place for newcomers to learn and progress fast with one on one instruction. Jj1 has been around only for a few years but has made a huge impact thus far. Big things to come
Nick and his instructors are super knowledgeable and proficient. Which makes for an environment that is fun and challenging. Expect to get a sweat going and learn how to move!
As a women training in a male dominated sport I have always felt comfortable and welcome at Jiu Jitsu One! There are days when we have 5-10 women on the matt's which isn't typical in most gyms! I also put my kids in jiu jitsu! Nick, our instructor, is awesome and helps us all as we learn and navigate our skills. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Glad we found Jiu Jitsu One!
I trained at Gracie 717 for almost 5 years. For a while, I was their most active competitor. I won more gold medals at bjj tournaments (mostly IBJJF) for them than anyone else there. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to switch to Jiu Jitsu One...the environment is so much more conducive to learning, especially for women and non-competitors. Nick approaches each student as a unique individual and takes the time to make sure everyone is taken care of. Unlike a lot of other gyms, there is no ego or toxic tension, ever. Our parent school in York, Zero BJJ, is also filled with friendly killers. In December, we are moving into a bigger facility on the north side of Lancaster city, as we're quickly outgrowing our current space. Whether you're looking for a little self-defense or pursuing a career in competition, JJ1 is the place to be!

Stopped in last month for a quick drop in class while I was in Lancaster. Really cool vibe to the gym. Nick the coach/owner ran a great class and gave personal instruction while drilling. I really enjoyed the people and the rolls!
Great place to train bjj for every skill level. The gym is very welcoming to beginners. Nick runs the program in a way that allows you to learn new skills and build on them each class.
Jiu Jitsu One is an anamzing place for anyone wanting to practice jiu jitsu, no matter the skill level. There are experienced grapplers, jiu jitsu players, judo players, wrestlers, and people that are brand new to the sport/art in house. The environment is very welcoming to beginners. The instructors and upper belts ensure that people who are starting out have a safe place to practice and learn. While still providing a atmosphere for more experienced practitioners to hone their competitive skills. Honestly, this is the place to be if you want to learn jiu jitsu or make some new friends that you can grab a beer with! Oss!
Great atmosphere great vibes. Mediocre instruction at best. Not a very competitive School
Train here at your leisure but don't expect a competitive environment.
