From the moment I joined, I felt incredibly welcome. The atmosphere at this gym is second to none – it’s friendly, supportive, and has built a fantastic culture where everyone, regardless of experience level, is encouraged to learn and improve. Whether you’re stepping onto the mats for the very first time or you’re an experienced practitioner looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll feel like part of the team from day one. David is an exceptional coach and one of the biggest reasons this gym stands out. He genuinely cares about every single member’s journey and takes the time to understand each individual’s goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. His coaching isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach; he invests time and attention into everyone, ensuring they progress at their own pace while constantly challenging them to become better. It’s clear how passionate he is about helping his students succeed, and that dedication is reflected in the development and confidence of everyone who trains here. Since joining, I’ve noticed a huge improvement not only in my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but also in my overall understanding of the sport. My technique, game plan, confidence, and ability to apply what I’ve learned during live rolls have all improved significantly in a relatively short space of time. The quality of instruction is outstanding, and every session provides something valuable to take away. What really sets this gym apart is the community. Everyone is respectful, approachable, and willing to help each other improve. There’s a great balance of hard training and a positive, enjoyable environment, making every session something to look forward to. I genuinely couldn’t recommend this gym highly enough. If you’re thinking about starting your BJJ journey or you’re already training and looking for a place with excellent coaching, an amazing team, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be.

Having came from a previous gym I thought it would be hard settling in but David made it an easy transitioning period and has supported me ever since. Having been out with a knee injury (work related not bjj) for a year he still managed to contact me and fully support me through the process even asking to meet for costa and catch up during this time. Friendly atmosphere with great bunch of people. Would recommend to anyone new or more experienced.

I've visited a lot of gyms, but this is the only one that's made me stick around. The community is amazing, and the atmosphere makes it easy to show up even on those low-motivation days. The BJJ classes with David are top-notch. It's the highest level of jiu-jitsu I've experienced, and you genuinely improve with every session. The membership also includes Muay Thai three times a week with Jacob, top experienced fighter and coach who somehow makes every class both intense and fun, regardless of your skill level. Then there's yoga with Pete three times a week, which is the perfect reset. Helps you feel human again after all the grappling and striking. Highly recommend!!!

I highly recommend Invisible Jiu Jitsu! I didn’t have a background in martial arts, so I had no idea what to expect going into it. The beginner course was very welcoming, while training was taught in a way that was easily understandable going through it step by step. Which made it easier to follow while building confidence. I’ve continued training for 4 months after finishing the beginner course and I really enjoy it while it helps keep me fit (a nice benefit). David is a great instructor - his passion for teaching Jiu Jitsu really shows. He’s approachable, thoughtful and always makes sure you understand what’s being taught. If you’re considering a martial art to get into, this is the perfect place to start!

I've been training at IJJ for couple of years now and I love it. No egos, just a great bunch of people and a first class instructor in David. My son recently started the kids' classes and it's been amazing to watch his self-confidence grow as he learns valuable life skills. The Sunday morning yoga class is also a real bonus. Great way to stretch and unwind after a busy week. I just wish I'd found IJJ sooner!

This is a brilliant Jiu-Jitsu gym that has something for everyone, no matter age, size or gender. It's really friendly and the instruction from David is first class. Every class starts with warm ups that are bjj specific, then full a demo and walk through of the lesson. David starts with the basic moves then as the session progresses, more and more detail is added the "invisible" parts, that are not so obvious. Kids classes are available here and the coaching from Connor and Lee has been fantastic. It's been great to see my daughters confidence and skills grow over such a small amount of time. If you're thinking about starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Thai Kick boxing or even BJJ yoga, this is the place to join.

This is a fantastic gym with a warm yet professional atmosphere. David is a highly experienced grappler with comprehensive knowledge. He has the unique ability to simultaneously teach overarching concepts alongside technical intricacies. David quickly develops a good awareness of each student's individual mental and physical attributes and tailors his approach to suit. This gym is a great place to take up grappling or hone and develop your existing game. The Thai Boxing coach is another good, knowledgeable guy and they even have kid's classes with dedicated, passionate coaches.

I’ve started with the Beginner Course and now signed up fully. My only regret is not starting sooner! It’s really welcoming and everyone is incredibly friendly, understanding and helpful. I was worried at the start being the only woman in a room full of men but there was absolutely no need. It’s respectful, educational and even funny! Looking forward to the coming months! ✨

I couldn’t recommend the beginners course or David as an instructor highly enough, I had been toying with the idea of starting bjj for years and I’m so glad I finally did it. David explains and demonstrates everything very clearly and makes sure we have a thorough understanding of what we’re doing. They’re a great bunch of lads there that make you feel welcomed regardless of skill level.
