Imperial offers knowledgeable instructors, fosters a supportive community among its members, and is a great place for both fitness and fun. I highly recommend Imperial to both beginners and experienced individuals seeking a new training environment.

We have trained here for the past 7 years and I can’t fault it. The coaches are very welcoming and have a world of knowledge. The kids have lots of fun while learning heaps. As a parent it’s great to see my kids confidence grow while learning life skills. The adult classes are great fun and accommodating for all abilities.

I came to Imperial in 2020 and have trained here ever since! Very friendly club with decades of grappling experience at the helm. Huge emphasis on culture and being a good training partner, clean facility, excellent standard of Jiu Jitsu instruction available. The club caters for hobbyist and competitive grapplers alike, and has a great mixture of ages and ability levels. You’ll find young, competition focused grapplers capable of contorting you in ways you didn’t think were possible, right through to the older crew looking to have fun, learn some skills, and stay fit. Could not recommend enough.

I visited my wife's cousin in 2018. At the time I was a purple belt and as one knows you have to find a place to train wherever you go at the detriment of anyone else on vacation. I found Cleve after visiting two other gyms in Joondalup. Excellent group, exactly the vibe I want to find in a gym. Friendly, accommodating, and skilled. They took me in as one of their own and I even got to go with them to a grading at the larger affiliate in Perth. I can't recommend BJJ enough for anyone and if you're thinking about choosing a gym close by this should be the one.

Cleve, his team of experienced coaches and all members have made me feel welcome since day one! The gym has a great atmosphere and everyone is looking to help each other improve. BJJ isn’t for everyone, but I recommend everyone give it a try no matter what your age, size or gender! Thanks Cleve and coaches!
