I couldn't be happier with the gym. We've tried a number of other gyms for my 7 year old and this is the first we've found without complaint. The coaches are passionate and patient with their instruction. The facility is clean, organized, and safe. The community and atmosphere at the gym is incredibly welcoming. The gym is close to base and offers more than reasonable pricing.

Definitely worth stopping by if you’re just passing through town. Owen is as humble as he is talented and treated me like family the second I walked through the door. Good rolls, good people, great gym ✊🏽
This is absolutely the best gym. It is family friendly and is great for kids. The coaches are very respectful, patient and create a safe environment to learn without pressure. This gym is perfect for casual students all the way to those who want to compete.
This DoJo is beyond amazing. My son has been going for almost 4 years. He's become an amazing athlete and an amazing human. The coaches are more than you could ask for. It's just one big family.

Both my boys now 9 and 11 have been coming here for almost 4yrs now and have loved every minute of it. Coach Owen and team will prepare you for competition and/or just for self defense. The training that they provide is out of this world. A small academy with a family environment.

This Academy is chill with a hint of improvement and competition neither forced or pushed only encouraged. The kids program from Tiny Gorillas to youth are great and fun. Adult class can push you or you can chill and learn at your own pace. I would say it falls to the person to ask questions about their own journey.
I have been attending this Academy for over three years without negative thoughts or comments. I have attended other gyms, franchises, academies and in my oppinion the pricing, learning, and enviroment makes it a winner. Our local and world champions demonstrates what we are learning is working.

I am so thankful that God allowed our paths to cross with this gym! It’s been amazing for my kids! It’s made their confidence grow especially in my son who was super shy. It’s hard work but fun for kids! I also love the adult class it’s super challenging but so worth it! I love being apart of this gym and it feels like I’ve known everyone longer than 3 years!
Our 7 year old and 13 year old have been going here for over a year. This was their first go at jiu-jitsu and we couldn’t have asked for a better gym as their first experience. The coaches are all excellent and have been extremely patient along the way. Our kids have learned so much!
If your not training here your not training. Coach builds you from the ground up regardless of where you start from. He cares for you both on and off the mat. The whole gym cares for you long term not just the here and now. Come build your technical abilities and realize your true potential.
I have trained at many jiu jitsu academies over the years and this is my favorite. Owen has a broad knowledge base and you can tell he wants to help his students improve. Just as important as his knowledge, or maybe more so, is his demeanor. He is a super nice guy. I highly recommend his academy for adults or kids.
Everyone here is incredibly kind and there are lots of opportunities to roll. The environment is positive and I appreciate how the coaches walk around to help students during class.
Our son started going here 6 months ago and the difference has been incredible. The coaches do a wonderful job of keeping the kids busy and interested in what they are being taught. On top of that the lessons are taught in a way that makes retention a lot easier for 5 year olds. If you have any desire to get your son or daughter into a martial art, then I would highly recommend Team Gorillas! Your kids will thank you!
My son (7) has been attending the tiny gorillas class for about a year, now, and absolutely loves it. Coach Owen has always been extremely patient and passionate as he teaches this group of new learners. My husband was deployed for six months and I was so thankful to have Coach Owen and his team providing my son with that boost of confidence their training was able to foster. Also, his gym is extremely close to Scott AFB, which was a huge plus for our family.
This gym is amazing for kids and adults to learn jiu jitsu. My son has been training here for 2 years and just loves it! The coaches are amazing coaches. They are so patient with the kids. They make me feel, as a parent, feel so welcome. It really is like one big family. Could not recommend more.!!!!
Where to start? Our family joined IBJJA nearly two years ago. We were looking for a Jiu Jitsu program for our two children, who were 7 and 9 at the time. We didn’t fully know what to expect, but just took the first step by trying it out. It was immediately clear that this gym has built a positive culture with a robust kid’s program that was perfect for us.
Our children have grown immensely confident and even carry themselves differently now. Joining the IBJJA family was the best decision we have made since moving here!

Illinois Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy has done wonders for my daughter. We were looking for some kind of martial arts to help my daughter gain confidence in herself. This has been the perfect fit for her since she began this journey this past summer. This is a extremely family friendly environment and the owners and coaches are very encouraging.
