  Great gym , but even better are the people. Gumby has cultivated a great jiu jitsu community from the ground up. Instructors are knowledgeable and generous with their time. What is wonderful as well, I believe Gumby is one of the first people to really develop a fundamentals curriculum that continuously rotates allowing beginners to jump in whenever. I live an hour away and still make it a point to drop in every blue moon to see my friends and train at Heroes.

  Excellent BJJ gym. Was in town for work and was able to hit 3 days of no gi. I have next to none no gi experience, and professor Trevor and all the people at the gym were amazing. Awesome instruction and great people. Very welcoming. Can’t recommend it enough!

As a newbie stepping onto the mats for the first time, I was met with nothing but encouragement and patience. Gumby and Eastside were awesome. The instructors here are top-notch, possessing a depth of knowledge that's truly inspiring. They take the time to ensure each student, regardless of experience, feels valued and understood. Beyond the technical skills, the camaraderie and team spirit within Heroes BJJ is palpable. Each session not only equips you with new moves but also instills discipline, resilience, and respect for the art.   I want to give this gym a 5 star review! I attend here several days a week. The reason why I joined this academy is because they’re very welcoming, the coaches are all very helpful, the mats are very clean, and especially because there is no ego here!!

  Amazing gym! Dropped in for an open mat and wow, everyone was super welcoming and the level of competition is excellent. There are some ridiculously high level people here, and the overall vibe is nice and chill with no egos. Everything is very clean and I love that they have a shower, highly recommended!
