My daughter has been going for Karate here since she was 4. She loves it here. The teachers are great and they inspire and motivate the kids to be their best and do their best not just at karate but overall. They are a positive influence on her growth. She looks forward to going to karate every week. The teachers are very friendly and easy to talk to. I am glad that my daughter is part of HMA

Our goal was for our child to gain some confidence, build strength and help with focus. Our child is naturally a bit shy, but Professor Bobby and his team has done a great job with all of the above! In just over a month, we noticed how our child has gained more confidence and strength. We honestly love seeing how firm the team can be to ensure everyone is focused when they’re speaking or instructing while learning natural consequences ie if eyes aren’t on them you could be doing the wrong movement or facing the wrong way. Highly recommend!

I would recommend to the parents who are looking for their kids to do some extra curriculum HMA is the right martal arts in union city it's has professional qualities,friendly staff and my child love attending her classes. Truly amazing results thanks.

Very nice staff - positive experience right from my first information call to the class itself. Super-communicative, dedicated, accommodating of our schedule, and thoughtful. My daughter loves the teachers and looks forward to the class. Their app is super useful and amazing (they have video trainings which I thought was a good skill refresher). They promote kids appropriately. I am impressed by their overall approach and glad to have found them.

HMA is a phenomenal space and the instructors are excellent. My daughter joined the program recently and I have seen her blossom from a shy and quiet girl to a confident kid. She improved her focus, balance, and ability to take instructions. The classes are fun and the instructors are kind but firm. Highly recommended.

Hernandez Martial Arts has been such an incredible experience not only for both of my boys, but myself as well. The care, attention, communication and guidance they provide to both parent and child is unmatched. Their program helps children learn and appreciate the values of kindness, discipline and respect. Instructors seem to deal with their students personally like they know how to handle each one individually though classes are held in group. I like that they know my son’s (4yr old)name from the very start and helped him cope with his separation anxiety. He is more confident now.

HMA has been very beneficial to my son over the years. Learning the various techniques has help in many aspects of his life. He is confident, responsible and does academically great in school in which the instructors at HMA had a major role in. Not to mention having a phenomenal group of peers/friends that he had grown with over time.

I am very upset with Hernandez Martial arts 🥋 they are very rude and disrespectful they kicked out my little niece after a to months and said it was because she wasn’t smart enough 👿

I enrolled my 4 year old daughter as I had seen their ad saying how they help build confidence, and self esteem. My daughter really enjoyed the first class and on the second class they kicked her out of the program because she wasn’t intellectual enough for her age. They told me in front of my daughter and when I try to enroll her into another dojo she was very discouraged to try martial arts in general. They did the complete opposite of whah their ad said. Im very upset with this establishment since they completely discouraged my daughter from doing this type of sports. If they can’t handle such young kids then stop advertising to recruit them.

I enrolled my 4-year-old daughter in the 'free trial' martial arts class, which consisted of two sessions. After these classes, they pulled me into the office to inform me that my daughter would not be allowed to continue because they claimed she wasn’t 'intellectual enough.' My daughter just turned 4 in July, and I was shocked by this statement. She followed the instructions to the best of her ability, given her age, and was genuinely trying.It seems this school expects young children to be perfect, without understanding that 4-year-olds are still learning and may occasionally get distracted. I saw another review saying something similar, and it’s clear that this place lacks patience for younger kids. If they don’t have the skills or willingness to work with 4-year-olds, they shouldn’t offer classes to that age group. Extremely disappointing and not the supportive environment I expected for my child’s first experience in martial arts.
