I've been training at Hapkido (Teesside) for a while now and I couldn't recommend it enough. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and take the time to help everyone improve, no matter their age or experience level. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, with students supporting each other while still being pushed to reach their full potential. Training has improved my confidence, fitness, discipline, and self-defence skills. It's a great club for both beginners and experienced martial artists. If you're thinking about starting Hapkido, this is definitely the place to do it.

When looking for a class to both challenge me as well as improve my fitness, stamina and flexibility I came across Teesside Hapkido. Since joining in May 2025 I have never had cause to doubt my choice. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, friendly and very experienced. The student age-range goes from junior school up to me I suppose (63 years) and the support we provide to each other ensures that the whole establishment has a genuine family feel. The skills that you learn build confidence and you do not have to go through the grading process if you don't wish to. The club location (Middlesbrough Sports Village) and the class/grading fees are very reasonable. I cannot praise this club enough; the instructors are all motivated by a genuine desire to assist students to achieve their potential...and get fit as well as have fun along the way.

This is a great family friendly club. Our daughter has been coming since she was 8yrs old and over the last 3yrs she has attained several grades. The instructors are very good with both adults and children and it's good to know that our daughter is being trained in a discipline that not only keeps her fit, but helps her to defend herself should the need arise. Highly recommended for children and adults.

Dedicated teachers and great kids learning there. Great easily accessible space and no issues with parking. Also convenient learning times and the cheapest I have seen.
