Excellent gym with top quality instructors. All beginner and advanced classes are taught by the head instructor/owner, Geoff Grant, who explains difficult concepts very clearly and in a enjoyable (and hilarious) manner. There are also specialized classes taught by other high level black belt instructors. GSW has a really good mat culture, with lots of black belts and other higher belts always generous with their knowledge. It's a very safe and friendly gym to start, or continue, your BJJ journey! Definitely give it a crack👌 NFO

I've started my BJJ journey with the one and only, Geoff "OG" Grant. Geoff has a vast rich knowledge of the BJJ world, and his teaching approach is simple without any BS. He just expects you to turn up, listen and have a good attitude. During classes, you may experience a bit of sarcasm and humour; although in saying that, you will get to learn and experience pure BJJ with a bunch of nice people. Also, GSW has junior classes specifically tailored for new students who are interested in starting their BJJ journey. These classes are available weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are taught by two experienced Black belts (excluding Geoff Grant) that have over 22 years of experience combined. Overall, you will be in good hands when you start your BJJ journey at GSW! OOOSSS!

5 stars isn't enough to highlight just how wonderful GSW is. Geoff, the lead instructor and owner, has created such a welcoming and inclusive culture. The community feel of GSW & good vibes at the club all stem from his example and leadership. In reality BJJ is a hard sport to start: it's physical, it's challenging and it's intimate (extremely close proximity to other sweaty humans). By choosing GSW, you can be assured that the people around you are helpful and encouraging - and pretty damn awesome! Great sport at a great club with great instruction - what more can you ask for?

I have been going to GSW for a while now and it is a great place to go for adults who want to learn a martial art and keep fit. Geoff gives two free lessons so there is nothing to risk by going along and having a look. Throughly recommend giving it a go.
