Some of the most in depth and well applied classes I've ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed my few days here. Coaches and team are unbelievably welcoming and made it feel so easy to get in some extra training and rolls whilst in Wellington on holiday. Some fantastic people here! Cannot recommend enough if you're around for a few days or looking at picking BJJ.

Visited Wellington for a few weeks and decided to come here because of their free classes for visitors. Pat and Amy were great and made me feel super welcome on their mats even offering me some loaner Gis as I only came with no gi gear. The gym was clean and spacious allowing everyone to roll all at the same time. Showers and changing rooms were also available. Classes were efficient and there was an overall friendly vibe amongst the people there. They really make you feel like you're training back at your home gym. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try out Jiu-jitsu in Wellington either as a first timer or an experienced practicioner. Will definitely be back.

I dropped in while travelling, Amy, Pat and their academy were incredibly welcoming. I dropped in on their open mat, the facilities are absolutely brilliant. Clean and well maintained. Huge mat space, really everything you could want. It was an absolute privilege to visit and if I'm ever back in Wellington I'll be sure to visit.

Excellent gym, very warm and friendly, I dropped in for a class while traveling from San Diego and had an excellent time. The gym was extremely clean, had bathrooms and locker rooms and the instruction was very good. I would absolutely recommend this gym to anyone looking to start jiu jitsu or improve their game!

I can't think of enough amazing things to say about Workshop Jiu Jitsu. I walked into Workshop with no prior BJJ or martial arts experience, and was made to feel extremely welcome and included r on the start. The awesome culture and atmosphere that Pat and Amy have created is second to none, and not something you will find in many other clubs around NZ. And after every session, I leave with a massive grin on my face 😁 I'm also a massive fan of the learning style and approach they take to coaching jiu jitsu. It has really helped build my understanding of what I need to do, but also allows us to hear from other people in a more collaborative approach. If you are considering BJJ, or looking for a new club in Wellington. I highly recommend coming through to Workshop, we would love to see you on the mats 🤙🥋 ⚡
