After spending a lifetime in martial arts in different martial arts schools, I can honestly say, "this school is remarkable." The curriculum is hand-on and demanding. The instructors are thorough and understanding. There may be no better value for your monthly dues than everything this school offers. Most importantly, Dave Freetage and his coaches have built a culture where everyone is accepted and newcomers feel welcome. In this school, champions are born, piece-by-piece. I cannot recommend any school more highly than Grove City Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Been going here for a while now and I must say this place is awesome. You might get a fancier looking gym other places but the quality of people at this place blow every other one I've been to away. For me personally, joining this gym has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The coaches are phenomenal and have so much experience to share with their students. The gym also has a great environment where it feels like one big family. I love the Jiujitsu aspect there just as much as I love the community aspect. If you are in Columbus and are looking to start Jiujitsu, I feel like the only option is GCBJJ.

Best coaches in the state of Ohio, results show at every competition. Every coach genuinely cares about every student from World Champion Contenders to the out of shape Dad trying to make it work. Starts from the top down and everyone is family.
This place is amazing! I would call it my home away from home. I have been training here for several years, and I cannot speak highly enough about this gym. Many of the instructors are in law enforcement, so they have a practical understanding of how these techniques work in everyday life. The owner, Dave Freetage, is the best BJJ coach that I have ever met, and I say this having visited a LOT of jiu-jitsu schools. The gym truly does have a family feel. There are kids in the building nearly every time that I am there. The pricing and methods of billing/payment are very reasonable as well. Not only are they the best deal in the Columbus area, they are very reasonable in working with individuals and families in the event of any issues. To give a personal example, I recently missed a few months of training due to an injury. The management was very responsive to my messages, and they froze my payments while I was out. In summary, GCBJJ is the real deal! The instructors are humble, personable, funny, and knowledgable, and they produce extremely high level competitors.
This gym is AMAZING! The staff all very professional, and the track record speaks for itself. This is the TOP Jiu Jitsu gym in Central Ohio. Just show up at a local competition, and you’ll see that GCBJJ separates itself from the competition greatly. The level of EARN IT and RESPECT for ALL people, as well as the love for art of Jiu Jitsu is pure, focused, and phenomenal. Upper belts are eager to teach and share the wisdom they’ve learned with beginners, and the TEAM or FAMILY environment is contagious! I train here, my son trains here, YOU are ALL welcome here.
A very good gym. Instructors are great. Take time to help and show you what to do. My 2 boys were hesitant at first. But now they love it.

Mats look like they have never been washed. Instructor is angry at all times and eager to insult and admonish newcomers. You couldn't pay me to come back to this lousy excuse for a Jiu-Jitsu academy
