The beginning of the 2024 school year got off to a rocky start last fall. Though it was my son's second year at his school (1st grade) it was his first year to experience being bullied. I knew that teaching him to fight wasn't the solution, so I began seeking martial arts programs with the intention to teach him focus, discipline, teamwork, how to manage himself socially and self defense. Boom TTD. A true diamond in the rough. We are a small community of instructors, students and families that believe in honor, integrity, respect and learning the skills and techniques to keep our children and ourselves safe. Since joining TTD my son has learned how to better manage himself during confrontation, he's more confident and he enjoys attending class each week. I have started taking classes myself and am enjoying the challenge and encouragement from the instructors, my fellow students and other moms that have decided to hit the mat with the kiddos. I look forward to the growth, the knowledge and the lessons that Sensei Steven has to offer. His passion for Martial arts, commitment to the culture & teachings is inspiring. We don't do it for sport- we do it for the skill, the knowledge and the personal growth. If you are looking for REAL self defense & martial arts training in an intimate setting where the instructors treat you like a student and not just an enrollment, you need to join us on the mat and find out for yourself why TTD has been around for 22 years and counting. I highly recommend.

We would be considered the newbies here. Joined a few weeks ago. We enjoy the small classes. Adult and adolescent mix and the games played to hone your skills is a big favorite. There are different styles of Sensei's at this dojo all with the same mission of teaching you how to protect yourself in a crisis. We will update as time goes by and add that 5th ⭐.

I have been in Martial Arts for over 50 years, during that time I have gotten to meet lots of people. I met Stephen Hatfield Sensei 23 years ago. He I m pressed me with his technique, heart and drive to make himself better. He became a great friend who I have had the privilege to know and watch grow not only as a Martial Artists but as a person. He is dedicated and driven to make I himself and his students better. He takes pride as we all should in the students he has and takes a personal interest in all of them. You want to learn from a good instructor and great man , learn from him. Take pride like he does

My son has been training here a couple of years and this place has been our second home. Sensei Hatfield is professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. As a parent I would highly recommend the Technician Dojo as you are presented with a wide array of experiences and real life self defense scenarios that can assist you within daily life. The Technician Dojo is the right Dojo to prepare yourself for the reality of the world.

My son wanted to try karate, so I looked into a few dojos in the area. After talking to Mr. Hatfield about his martial arts and self defense training, I was very interested. He answered all of my questions over the phone and allowed my son to come sit in and watch a class. He was excited to start and has been learning a lot over the last few months. All of the instructors have been very helpful as we started this martial arts journey and I am excited to see my son’s progress over time with additional training.
