    Ground Theory Jiu Jitsu in Lawrence is an outstanding gym with fantastic instructors and a welcoming, supportive community. Matt and Heidi have built something truly special here. It is a place where people of all skill levels feel included, respected, and challenged in the best way, and my son asks me all the time when we are going to go back so that he can train and better himself and hang out with his friends.

    If you are looking for a permanent, temporary, or even a drop in gym this is the place! Ground Theory jujitsu is an amazing place to train. And i say that because I have been with them for about 3 and a half years and I have learned so much! The owners are incredible, they are nice, willing to help, and patient with you if you even if you’re struggling on a move or need help! I guarantee you, you will not find anyone more helpful than the people at this gym! Thank you to the owners and to the people at this gym! Go try it!

    Really nice BJJ gym. New and very clean. Visiting Lawrence on business, I dropped in @ Ground Theory. They were very welcoming. The instruction was top-notch and the students were experienced and eager to teach. I'll definitely be going back whenever I'm in Lawrence.

    Ground Theory is a great school with patient, knowledgable instructors and a stellar kids program. The environment is warm, welcoming and makes one feel that they are part of a family. For anyone that wants to learn Jiu-Jitsu, this is the place to go in Lawrence. I highly recommend this school for both the adult and kids programs!

    Ground Theory Jiu Jitsu in Lawrence, KS is an exceptional place for anyone interested in learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner. The instructors are amazing people that care about every member of the gym. The atmosphere at the gym is welcoming, no matter who you are regardless of age or gender. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and inviting for everyone. Overall, Ground Theory Jiu Jitsu is a fantastic place to grow both as a martial artist and as a person. Highly recommended!
