These guys are great, very knowledgeable, kid friendly, and patient. My youngest goes to Mat munchkins class and I go to the Masters Cycle class on Saturdays. We both have a great time learning.

Tried other BJJ gyms for sport competition for 1.5 years, but this place and Gracie system is much different! You’ll learn BJJ, principles, self-defense, and progress through organized rank development! Impressive curriculum and these instructors are fun, safety oriented, and committed to each members’ learning.
Been coming for over a year now. Really like the Gracie method of teaching. Eric and Martin run a great gym. Great instruction and great people. Very happy to be part of this community.
What can I say that hasn't already been said enough, this is a great school! If you want to learn a lot of great self defense moves while also hanging out with great people, this is the place to go!!!

We absolutely love Lone Star Jiu-Jitsu! This was our first experience with a martial arts place for my son. I am so glad because I've heard some questionable things about other places in the area. I contacted many places and gathered information and Lone Star was by far the most transparent and friendliest conversation I had which is what won a trial period. My son was very nervous because he's super self conscious about his weight and the fact that he wouldn't know anyone. The instructors and other participants proved to be so incredibly inclusive and welcoming that my son instantly loved it. I can't thank them all enough for giving my son not only lessons, but community, camaraderie, and self-esteem. It's been a wonderful experience!
Coach Eric and Coach Martin are Absolutely Amazing!! Our 2 boys (6 and 9), have learned soo much from them. Not just about protecting themselves from bullies, but they also gain knowledge and show so much more respect and responsibility to us and to everyone they come in contact with. We look forward to each class to see all their progress. I absolutely recommend this program to everyone who wants to learn Jiu-jitsu.
Eric and Martin are exceptional teachers. I attend the combative and women’s empowered and my daughter is in the bully proof program. They are so patient and fun for the kids and super respectful and knowledgeable when teaching adults. I am so glad I found them.
martin and eric know their stuff and it's very clear that they have a passion for jiu jitsu. the atmosphere is great and everyone who attends these classes is very willing and eager to help any newcomers. the classes are very self-defense oriented, as opposed to sport oriented, and they don't have a competitive team. there is no live rolling unless you put in a lot of time. i very much enjoy the people and atmosphere, but the content isn't for me.
Eric is a great instructor and loves what he does! The classes are structured, safe, and fun...Don't think twice...just give it a shot.

I started with these guys a few months ago - I have experience in fighting martial arts and self defense - I have good and bad instructors and these guys have been some of the best I have learned under. They focus on a structured approach to self-defense that allows each person the opportunity to learn practice and grow. I have a 16 year old daughter who will be out on her own soon and I have trusted these guys to help teach her the fundamentals of not only self-defense but self-reliance and self-esteem as well. Could not recommend this group enough - not only for a seasoned individual like myself but also for those young teenagers looking to have the tools to branch out on their own
Self-defense is the heart of jujitsu it’s been said. If you’re looking for practical training you can actually use in the street, if needed, then this is the academy for you. You’ll learn techniques for sport also in their broader curriculum. You’ll find a cooperative training environment, camaraderie and a place your kids will love training too.
The instructor staff is so accomodating and knowledgeable. I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the Jiu-Jitsu realm and recommended anyone who is interested to check them out!!
This is one of the most user friendly BJJ schools. Your kids will love it. Adults will love it because it’s not a fight for your life BJJ gym. A safe place to roll and still be able to go to work the next day.
This is a great place to learn jiu jitsu and learn self defense. Their kids classes are amazing!! My kids just soak it up!! I’d highly recommend this school to anyone and everyone.
This place is great! There's plenty of mat space, and the instructors are fantastic at breaking down the techniques for rapid learning. If you're at all interested in the Gracie school of Brazilian Jiujitsu, this is a great place to start.
