We've been absolutely thrilled with the kids jiu jitsu classes at Gracie Jiu Jitsu here in Cairns. My five year old has grown so much in confidence since starting, and the instructors do a brilliant job teaching discipline, respect, and self defense in a fun, supportive way. If you're looking for kids jiu jitsu or martial arts classes in Cairns, I can't recommend this academy enough. Five stars, hands down.
I have trained at Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Cairns several times. It’s a great place to train, run by great people: Andre, Luke and Terry have cultivated an amazing culture. Their classes are well structured with beginner or advanced students in mind. if you’re looking to start your journey in Jiu Jitsu there’s no better place to look. They offer classes for adults and kids ages from three up to 13. Andre the head coach there is dedicated passionate and willing to help you achieve your goals whether it be for fitness, self-defence or a bit of both. They have great facilities that are clean good new mats and ample parking. Do yourself a favour, come down learn new skills and make a bunch of new friends.
Honestly, the best everyone’s so sweet and you learn a lot it really helps. Bring the confidence out of you and achieve for the best.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Cairns is a great club to be a part of. It can be difficult to go for that first class but every single person I have met there has been open and welcoming. There are no huge egos, and nobody is trying to hurt anyone else. This is a great place to be!
Our 4 years old joined little munchkins, such a welcoming atmosphere with great skills and morals for kids to learn. I enjoyed being there so much I signed up my self and started a new hobby at 38 and loving it! Teachers are amazing!
Our daughter absolutely loves jiu-jitsu classes! Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has an amazing team and a fantastic coach in Andre. The whole team are very professional, great with kids and help them stay motivated and focused, all while having fun. Our daughters confidence has improved in leaps and bounds. Everyone welcomed her and our family with open arms and she has made some lovely friends. We highly recommend Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to all!
Gracie Jiu-jitsu is an absolutely wonderful organisation, family friendly, extremely welcoming and helpful. My experience has been nothing but positive and even with injuries they are very accommodating. Definitely recommend Gracie Jiu-jitsu Cairns.
Unfortunately would not address a bully hurting other kids, within the kids class. And then the owners proceeded to bully others within the adult classes when raising questions or concerns for their validity of their owner / self accredited white belt instructor. How can a white belt be a jiu jitsu instructor?? Lol Unfortunately the new owners are terrible representatives for the Gracie name.
