    Visited and trained at this academy whilst in Florida from the UK. Everyone I met ensured a warm friendly welcome. I was lucky enough to attend a seminar hosted by Master Malibu. The academy truly lives by its values and these are demonstrated by its students and coaches. For those who may be apprehensive joining and starting out on their BJJ journey I would say don’t be. You’ll be made to feel welcome and included. You’ll be guided by patient and encouraging coaches and training in a clean and safe environment. Thanks again to all at GB Windermere..see you next year!     I can’t even express how amazing my journey in jiu-jitsu has been! From the moment I walked into the academy, I felt at home. The professors are true masters, not only in their techniques but also in the way they inspire us to become better every single day. They are so patient and always offer support, whether you are at your very first class or competing in a tournament. Recently, I had the opportunity to take part in my first championship, and the experience was amazing. The support I received from the team and my teammates was essential. From the intense training sessions to the hours I spent preparing for the competition, everyone was there cheering for me, sharing tips, and encouraging me to give my best. That motivated me so much and pushed me to perform my best on the mat. Every class is a new lesson, full of challenges, laughter, and most importantly, growth. At the academy, they don’t just teach techniques, they also pass on values such as discipline, respect, and perseverance. You leave each training session not only physically stronger but also mentally stronger. Also, i feel it’s a journey where the academy doesn’t focus on punishing or pressuring you about winning or losing, but instead values related to growth, principles, and character. I am forever grateful to Gracie Barra Windermere, and I only have positive things to say.

    My son has been training Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Barra for about a year and a half, and the experience has been amazing. Not only has he developed important self-defense skills and improved his physical conditioning, but he has also grown in confidence, focus, and discipline. I’ve noticed a positive impact on his interactions with friends as well as his attention and performance at school. The instructors at Gracie Barra are fantastic, supportive, and truly care about the students’ progress both on and off the mats. I highly recommend Gracie Barra to anyone looking for a place where kids can grow in Jiu-Jitsu while building strong values in a positive and motivating environment

    We’ve had both of our kids at Gracie Barra Windermere for over 2 years, and the experience has been amazing. Not only are they learning jiu-jitsu, but they are also developing important life skills—like discipline, respect, and how to better control their emotions. The instructors are outstanding, especially Professor Daniel Calil, who recently placed 3rd in the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship. It’s inspiring for the kids to train under someone who leads by example both on and off the mats. His wife, Juliana, is also a huge part of this journey—she not only supports the business but also applies her Master’s degree expertise to help with the children’s skill-building and mental development. Together, they create a safe, professional, and encouraging environment where kids grow in confidence, focus, and character. Highly recommend Gracie Barra Windermere for any family looking for more than just a sport—this is a place where kids learn to become stronger, more respectful, and more balanced individuals.

    GB Windermere is hands down the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in the Orlando area. The instructors are highly skilled and create a welcoming, supportive environment that makes learning BJJ both fun and effective. I signed up to learn self-defense, and I’ve not only gained valuable skills but also built confidence and discipline.
