My two boys were visiting Tampa for 5 weeks and didn't want to miss out on training with their home club back in England. They had the opportunity to train with Professor Ivan, and from the moment they arrived, everyone made them feel incredibly welcome. The atmosphere was so positive and supportive that they were genuinely sad to leave. They can't wait to come back next year! A special shout out to Eduardo as well for being so helpful and encouraging. Highly recommend!"

Even though I don’t speak Portuguese, everyone there is very accommodating to my needs, especially Ivan the instructor. They have made it very easy for me to learn and everyone at Gracie Barra are like family. Regret is not a thing that comes to mind when joining here!!

Amazing place! My daughter started shy and had no idea what she was doing. Instructor Ivan is one of the best he is passionate with his kids and takes his time to teach the young ones to be better each and every time. Not only did my daughter learn how to defend herself but we also found a second family at this location. My daughter’s favorite place with the most amazing people. I would highly recommend this place 100%

I recommend Gracie Barra Citrus Park to everyone. My 10 year old son, trains with them, and his improvement is remarkable. He's more secure and self-confident. Professor Ivan's work and the whole team are spectacular. It's a family-friendly environment, always clean, teaching the true essence of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Ambiente agradável e confortável, a atenção começa na portaria com o Eduardo, onde te ajuda com toda a documentação,sana suas dúvidas, é super gentil,educado,atencioso! O jiu-jítsu foi amor a primeira vista, meu filho “Era” muito retraído e com dificuldades de se expressar. O professor Ivan, é dedicado e tem amor ao que faz, e por cada criança é aluno que ali está. Ele tem uma influência muito grande na vida do Hugo, dentro e fora do tatame, o Hugo era viciado em coca cola! Hoje , com a influência do Ivan e do esporte, ele não bebe mais refrigerante e come mais saudável. Eu fico muito feliz com todo esse desenvolvimento! Obrigada Ivan! Obrigado Gracie Barra! This gym is simply awesome, great people no bullies, coach Ivan is great Jiu jitsu mentor and coach, i was new to the sport so i was apprehensive to walk in and ask but they made me feel so welcome that in matter of weeks i realized that is an actual a peaceful place where everyone kids and adults enjoy being there , the gym is made out of good people who are always there to help us I can only say honestly that Gracie Barra Citrus is doing way more than i expected, i made a bunch of good new friends for life, we get in shape and they teach brazilian Jiu jitsu which creep into our lives in a such a beautiful way that i can only thank the gym and coach Ivan for keeping everyone humble and for allowing us to learn with such great professionals and making it so much fun at the same time. Now Jiu jitsu is a lifestyle and i could not be happier for the day i decided to walk in the gym and start. OSS

The best jiu-jitsu school around the Tampa area. The school is nice, extremely clean and it has an amazing atmosphere. This is literally the place where you come in as a student but you are treated like a family member. My 5-year-old son loves training and being together with his friends. Coach Ivan is a wonderful person, attentive to details and very understanding to each student. Without a doubt, it was the best choice for my son. You won’t regret having your son/daughter here, you will feel part of this family.

The best jiu jitsu academy in tampa! I cant believe on how much i already learned just in 1 month and a half, the people there is very respectful, the mat and the academy is super clean, super organized and very great place to have your kids and family. I recommend this academy to everyone who wants to learn BJJ and make new friendships! 10/10 i have nothing to complain!
