So impressed with Gracie Barra Surfers Paradise. My 6 year old son has been training here for nearly 1 year now. It’s been incredible to watch his development. All the couches at GBSP have been incredible they are so good at what they do. The care, kindness and support they give to the children has been heartwarming. I can highly recommend GBSF for kids as they will be under the care of truly good humans. Thank you to Prof and all the coaches that contribute to creating such a great culture here.

I have colleagues friends and neighbours attend GB and I’ve always found everyone friendly and welcoming. More importantly they are committed enthusiastic coaches. My 10yr old has gained a lot of confidence since joining GB. Thank you GB and all the coaches.

Best and easiest pick we’ve ever made for our daughter. Normally, it would be enough just to mention that these guys recently took #1 in the state for kids, but what truly matters is that the sense of community here is second to none. The coaches are fantastic, the parents are welcoming and supportive, and the place is simply a vibe! We’ve only been here a few months, but we absolutely love it, and the progress has been amazing! Hope to see you on the mats! Oss 👊

From our very first encounter walking into Gracie Barra Surfers Paradise, we could immediately see the kindness and care the team at GBSP have for the children and their families. Their professionalism and passion truly stood out to us. GBSP has been a true blessing to our family, and especially to our son who has ADHD. For families with neurodiverse children, finding a community where your child is genuinely accepted, understood and encouraged can be incredibly important. We have found exactly that at GBSP. The Professors, Coaches and Adult Members are amazing role models for our teen. He truly values their input, advice and guidance, both on and off the mats. The discipline, resilience and self-confidence he has developed through BJJ at GBSP have been incredible to see. This isn't just a BJJ club — it is a community of people who genuinely accept each child for who they are and help them grow into the best version of themselves. They have created an environment where our son feels supported, included and valued. Pickup time is always a struggle because we can't get him to leave! 😂 We are so incredibly grateful to GBSP and everyone who makes this community so special. As parents of a child with ADHD, we couldn't be happier to have found such a positive and supportive environment for our son. We highly recommend GBSP to any family, and especially to other neurodiverse families looking for a community where their child can thrive.

My family has no other BJJ gym experience to compare but we wouldn’t even consider looking anywhere else. If you want a safe place for your child to learn self-defence, confidence, respect, and kindness then this is the place. Professor Gui and the many wonderful dedicated coaches lead with heart and professionalism. Patience and kindness. They support the kids and help them grow! This is a strong and caring community which includes all the teaching team, the kids and the parents and feels like a family. We as parents see the love and respect the kids share with Professor and the coaches, and know that we are all lucky to have them guiding our kids each and every week. Forever grateful for all the hard work and dedication the team puts in day in and day out!

Team Sacrifice

Our son started with Gracie Barra Surfers Paradise at the beginning of 2024 and we were instantly impressed by the level of care Professor Gui and the coaches showed not just him, but every single student. After watching our son train for nearly 6 months, I found myself joining the adults classes and honestly, I haven’t looked back since. Our son has not only thrived from learning Jiu Jitsu, but as a quiet, soft hearted boy, he has gained an incredible amount of self confidence. GBSP offers a truly beautiful community which we are extremely proud to be part of 🙏🏼

We took our 4-year-old daughter to her first class at Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu and were absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, the coaches and the other kids went above and beyond to make her feel welcome and comfortable. The instructors were incredibly patient, supportive, and amazing with the little ones. They created such a fun and positive environment that our daughter felt confident straight away. Seeing how much she enjoyed it and how well the class was run, we signed her up on the spot! We couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend Gracie Barra to any parents thinking about getting their kids into jiu-jitsu. Thank you for making her first class so special
