Upon arriving at my first trial class, I was promptly met with amazing people. The entire experience was natural, organic, and authentic. Gracie Barra is comprised of amazing classmates and coaches/professors alike. There is so much to learn at/on so many levels with many key takeaways; and attention to detail with adjustments as needed. A truly welcoming environment that encourages learning and leaves you feeling fulfilled. 10/5.

Having trained in boxing gyms for the majority of my life, I was excited to try out a jujutsu class. The instructors were patient and professional throughout the session, while also upholding the traditions of the sport. Their guidance created a welcoming and respectful environment for participants to learn. One aspect that stood out to me was the willingness of the advanced students to assist and guide those who were new to the practice. Their support and encouragement fostered a sense of camaraderie within the class, making it a collaborative learning experience for everyone involved. Overall, Gracie Barra not only provided valuable insight into the techniques and principles of the sport but also highlighted the importance of community and mutual respect in martial arts training. We just took a trial class at GB North Austin. My kiddo is brand new to BJJ and really appreciated that the coaches were so helpful to learning the basics. Everyone including the staff and other parents were warm and welcoming. We'll be back!
