My son has been going twice a week for almost 2 months now. He has a great time. I appreciate the instructors and their ability to teach the kids as well. There has been many times that my son has gotten a quick 1 on 1 demonstration during sparring and technique training with the other kids. We will continue to come here. Hopefully they will be able to find a bigger building eventually. There are many kids that enjoy jiu jitsu here!

Just moved here from another state. Great experience so far. Professor Vincent is a great teacher and under his lead the community has been very inviting and welcoming.

The best of the best! Professor Vincent is super professional and he leads an amazing group of skilled coaches. Love having my kids in this school and I even began attending myself!

My two boy (4 and 8) have been coming here for a couple months now and it's been great. The professor and coaches are really nice and patient with the kids. My younger son does it for fun, while my 8 yr old has competed twice now. It really is for everyone. The atmosphere is great. It's fun seeing new kids come in shy and then coming out of their shell after a few classes. If you are thinking about it, just do it. We are glad we did.
So far it's been a good experience. My son started in May and I started about a month ago. Professor Vincent is a solid teacher. As well as his other coaches.
A fantastic gym that will make you feel welcome even when starting from the ground floor. I quickly had enough of a BJJ game to roll with people of all skill levels (to learn). Joining this gym built confidence, health, strength, and it’s a supportive social atmosphere. Could not recommend it enough!

Great place to start and/or advance you jiujitsu skills. Professor Vincent is fantastic. Great knowledge and amazing teacher. Gracie Barra Maricopa Brazilian JiuJitsu is great for the whole family. I love training there and my kids love training there. Schedules are supper accommodating to fit any work schedule.
Hunter age 9yr, training here for 5 months, says “I love it”. The coaches are very nice and knowledgeable, firm when needed. Both kids are learning great life lessons and are being challenged physically. Our experience has been wonderful!
I have 3 of my grandkids attending. The instruction is well structured to meet the kids age and ability. Always challenging and they enjoy it. A great school.
Overall this is an awesome school! Professor Vincent and coaches are very patient and make it a great environment to learn Jiu-Jitsu. The schedule makes it easy for you to train before or after work or even throughout the day on your day off. I’m always looking forward to come in and train with the Maricopa team.
Awesome gym, awesome people, convenient location - would recommend anyone that’s thinking about giving jiu jitsu a chance to come to GB Maricopa and experience the amazing community that’s being built!

My child attends the kids classes and they absolutely love it, they are so good with kids! If your kid has extra energy and needs to learn a disciplined way to get that out I highly suggest these classes! The professor and coach are so good with kids. I also take the adult class and it’s been the best workout I’ve ever had! Such a family friendly place! You gotta check them out!
I have been going here for 3 weeks now and absolutley love the atmosphere. The Coaching staff here is very knowledgable.

Super fun and friendly place to learn jiujitsu! You can do it both recreationally or for competition and they're super flexible with the pace matching your skill level. I'm brand new to the sport and haven't attended long but look forward to training more in the future. The instructor Vince takes the time to help everyone individually and stays after the class itself to answer questions and help people with movements they struggle with. 5 star business for sure would recommend to anyone!
Professor is horrible. He is young and immature. I got absolutely nothing out of training there and was forced to use another facility. I sustained a concussion while I was there and out two weeks. He never checked to see how I was doing. He never said anything when I came back. I’m guessing because I’m a senior citizen and was by far the oldest guy there he didn’t feel that I could gain anything from his instruction… professor and his Assistant me in the parking lot as I was leaving Ace hardware, Very childish on their part. Maricopa Police Department was called by them So they could try to ban me from the parking lot. Thank God I did nothing wrong. I’d be careful before I left my kids out here.
I’m disappointed with my experience at this location. I scheduled a free class through the Gracie Barra website—I didn’t just walk in randomly. The first time I came, I was excited but nervous, only to find the doors locked. I figured it was just an off day and didn’t think much of it. I rescheduled for another class, but when I showed up again, no one was there. You’d expect that if you make an appointment, your professor would be there, or at the very least, you’d receive an email or notification about any changes. It was frustrating, especially since Gracie Barra promotes that jiu-jitsu is for everyone, but this location seems to be lacking in organization and communication. I’m rating it 1 stars because I feel bad and I’m sure the night classes are great, with attentive teachers. However, I chose morning classes because I work full-time nights, so mornings are my only option. If this location isn’t open in the mornings, they shouldn’t list those times on the schedule. Please consider updating your hours to reflect actual availability. Why would you advertise something then not follow through very upsetting and disappointed 🤷♀️
