I have found my time at Gracie Barra Gloucester to be exceptional. As someone with a brain injury, the patience everyone has shown at letting me get to grips with everything. As well as allowing me to stay safe and not pressured into doing anything that could set me back to be remarkable. They have welcomed me with open arms, treated me equally and not lesser. The instructor Murray is extremely helpful to everyone.

My 9-year-old son and I have been members of this gym for months at this point and I now feel qualified to write an informed review. I wholeheartedly recommend Gracie Barra Gloucester. It’s a gym with a good culture, the instruction is quality, and the class schedule is flexible enough that it’s easy to fit multiple sessions a week into a busy life. The atmosphere is quite friendly and supportive, making it easy to maintain the commitment to train. Learning is addictive. I’ve picked up a lot in just a few months, even if I’ve only just scratched the surface. The kids’ classes are well attended and strike a good balance between serious instruction and raw fun. My boy always ends the session drenched in sweat and smiling.

My son is 8 years old and absolutely loves Gracie Barra Gloucester. The coaches are amazing with the children. They make every class fun while also teaching them discipline, confidence, and great jiu-jitsu skills. Every time he comes home, he is excited to show me what he has learned. He has tried other sports before, but jiu-jitsu is the one he is truly committed to and really wants to learn. It's wonderful to see how much he enjoys it and how much he looks forward to every session. I highly recommend Gracie Barra Gloucester to any parent looking for a positive and supportive environment for their child.

My Son’s first exposure to BJJ and what an excellent experience all round. Clear comms on join up procedures, friendly personable welcome and very well structured classes. Top level instructors with staff members keeping keen eye on all students at all times. A very positive atmosphere to allow proper learning to happen.

if I could leave no stars I would ! the worst mistake I ever made was to let the Gracie Barra cult have my bank details ! I enjoyed it at first but then had financial difficulties. but no matter what your circumstance you can't them steeling money out of your account every month. I could no longer attend as I became unemployed , they couldn't care less . so also I tried to switch schools to gloucester. which was even worse! and I will be putting in a formal complaint against the head coach for discrimination . as he refused me any form of membership and would not return my calls .I am assuming its due to my slight disability .
