We joined back in March of this year. Our daughter was pretty timid her first class, but wanted to come back. Now we can’t keep her away! We all love and adore the staff, and it truly has a family atmosphere. Everyone is supportive and encouraging, and applauds everyone’s growth. We can’t say enough things about the professors and Ms. Carol. Our daughter has so much respect for everyone, especially professor Lucas who hS helped her tremendously with discipline, respect, and confidence. ♥️
Posted a week agoMy 7 year old daughter, my husband and I have been coming here over a year and we love it! The coaches are very knowledgeable and great with the kids. My husband is very athletic and I am very unathletic, but they have classes that suit every level. Highly recommend!
Posted a week agoI cannot recommend Gracie Barra East Mesa enough. My 4-year-old has been attending classes here for the past few months, and the experience has been fantastic. From the moment he began his trial class, we felt welcomed in their family-friendly environment. The professors are incredibly patient, skilled, and engaging, making each class both fun and challenging. The older students who help out during the class are so kind, helpful and welcoming towards the younger children. It's wonderful to see my son excited to go to jiu jitsu. He’s learning respect, discipline, and burning his energy while having fun. This school has truly been a positive experience for our family.
Posted a week agoWe have been at this gym for just over a month. My son cannot wait to go to his classes each week. Professor Lucas and Professor Joao are incredible. They have instilled confidence and discipline within my son. The care that they provide these kids is incredible to watch. We love the warmth and family feel of the gym and 10/10 would recommend to anyone considering.
Posted a week agoI have 2 children that do the Little Champions 1 class (3-6) and 3 older children that do the Juniors class (10-14) and this has been nothing but a wonderful experience! 15 years ago, I used to practice BJJ in a different state so I have a background/understanding of BJJ so I feel I can accurately say that Professor Lucas is an amazing BJJ practitioner. Professor Lucas has a perfect balance of patience and kindness yet simultaneously able to maintain discipline and structure, which is a lost art in this day and age. Carol is amazing. She is sweet with the kids and helpful with the adults. And most important, the kids love it! They get upset if they have to miss a class and they work extra hard around the house to earn their attendance to BJJ. There are other BJJ school closer to me. We drive 25 minutes out of the way to come here. They are that good!
