This place is awesome! Coach Alex and the rest of the coaches treat kids with respect, care, and also top notch training. They are great communicators and well trained fighters, and it is clearly seen in how they interact with their students. Before any of you sign your children up anywhere else, make sure you stop here first and speak with them first.
Posted 1 year agoAmazing instructors and team! The gym is always clean and Alex is one of the best competitors who can actually teach and coach. Come by and join the best BJJ team around. AEM offers many variety of class times with amazing instructors that fit all types of personal schedules, so you do not have any excuses to not train.
Posted 2 years agoI pass through Mesa regularly and visited this Ares East location as training spot whenever I'm here. I joined the morning classes and Professor Dee was very hospitable. I really enjoyed the X Guard sequence he was teaching for the week. Prof Dee is a very technical and professional instructor with a very digestable teaching style. He controls the class really well and is mindful about all the student's different levels and how to partner them accordingly. Great training here. A lot of tough and technical sparring. They have a good range of small to large people, great for variety. Thanks for having me and will be stopping in whenever I'm in the area. Thank you to Alex and Prof Dee.

Posted 1 year agoComing to Ares was a great move for my son. Alex is awesome when it comes down to actually teaching the kids new moves! I would most definitely recommend to other parents without hesitation!
