The coaches are truly exceptional—knowledgeable and genuinely invested in every student’s progress, no matter the level. They create a motivating and disciplined environment while still making training enjoyable and welcoming. The instruction is clear and detailed, the classes are well structured. You can really feel how much the coaches care about technique, safety, and personal growth both on and off the mats. This place is special. I was looking for a place to train and get in shape, and found a gym I can call home! Prof Gui is a true leader on and off the mats. I had zero knowledge of jiu-jitsu when I walked in, and now compete multiple times due to the motivation of Professor and the teammates. Being training at Gracie Barra for Almost 3 years now, and am glad I join the biggest Jiu Jitsu team in the World, I would not go anywhere else. If you are looking for self defense, competition or just to get in great shape this is the place for you. The environment here will make you not want to leave, you are always greeted with a welcoming smile and are made to feel like if you are at home. GBCS professors are all passionate about this “gentle art”, this passion that they show day in and day out brushes off to anyone who walks in. Highly encourage anyone who is interested in joining a Jiu-Jitsu academy to visit Gracie Barra, anyone is welcome to watch the training sessions. Gracie Barra Coral Springs have GB1 program with focuses on fundamentals “ which is the hear and soul of Jiu Jitsu” and self defense, it do not matter if you have experienced or not, the program is design to give the tools necessary to protect your self by attempted injured by another. The GB2 program have a more advance curriculum, where it goes more in depth into refined your Jiu Jitsu.

GB @ Coral Springs is a great place to learn the practical and proven martial art of BJJ. No matter your age or ability the lead instructors will take the time to convey the movements and make sure that you are preforming (at your own pace). The team mates are great and always willing to help each other get better. Gi the professor leads by example and keeps his students safe! I have been to a bunch of clubs in my time as I am 48 hrs old. Where the instructor shows the move and then leaves you all alone with the other students to figure it out. While he sits on his phone or doesn’t appear to care. I must say that this is not the situation at GB Coral Springs club (although a large name), they are professional and care about you, your progression and life. It’s like being part of the family! It’s a great investment to learn how to really protect yourself and stay sharp/fit! 🔺

The details the instructors use to teach this incredible martial art is bar none. Professor Sergio, Pascual and Fabiano curriculum is outstanding besides that the academy is new and extremely clean. The Gracie Barra culture is very professional and has that family friendship atmosphere. The best thing is that they offer classes through out the whole day so it can fit anyone’s schedule.

Professor Sergio and Professor Fabiano are some of the best instructors around. They break down complex movements into small slices, analyzing every detail and angle of movement. They communicate very well and are patient in such a way that all levels of experience can benefit ranging from white belt to black. The environment and philosophy is warm and welcoming. There is a purpose for their methods both physically and mentally. The students are very welcoming, always coaching lower belts and very family oriented. Facility is well kept, always clean with plenty of space. Clean locker room and showers available. Restrooms are always clean and fully stocked. Walls have the GB lineage and curriculum up students and prospects to view. Leaders set the tone, and in this institution, they absolutely nailed it. Gracie Barra Coral Springs is the one and only place to go if you want the best experience, self-defense training, and journey through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Not so bad place till you want to cancel membership even if you have to move. Our last visit was in February, in March we had informed them in person and by phone that we are not going to attend anymore and ask stop charging our CC since April. Currently is beginning of September and they are still keep charging our credit card! It was at least 2 visits, 3 phone calls and 3 emails between these and all of them with no results and bla bla saying about corporate policy bs. I have disputed all that transactions with credit company and filed claim against them. It’s disgusting to be so complicated to their clients who have been for years with GB and paid even during Covid times without visiting the school. Shame on you GB accounting. Future members Think twice before you starting attending this exact school.

During my one month there I had a good time practicing, one of the things that turned me off was I was reading signing the paperwork and practiced started, so I was rushed to sign and go to practice. So one of the things I missed while reading was the 60 days you have to wait to cancel. At $165 a month thats over $300 to stop going to this place. The reason I'm stopping was I broke my thumb, so just make sure you plan your emergencies 60 days in advance.

As a mother and wife, I was initially nervous about starting jiu jitsu. However, Coach Laura's women's only class quickly built my confidence. Laura is an incredible coach, both on and off the mats, making me feel welcomed and empowered. Encouraged by her, I also started attending regular classes with Professor Fabio, who is equally fantastic. Now, I train alongside my husband and son, who have been coming here for almost a year. Our son is very talented and even participates in adult classes, where everyone appreciates his energy and skill. Regrettably, the actions of the office manager, Enzo, have overshadowed our otherwise positive experiences. He doesn't even train in jiu jitsu but feels entitled to dictate what happens on the mats. Enzo's brazenness hit an all-time low when he pressured Professor Fabio, a fifth-degree black belt, into reluctantly removing our son from the mat, despite no valid reason, disregarding his dedication and skill. This caused our son great distress, leaving him in tears. The other students were visibly upset by Enzo's actions, showing overwhelming support for our son. Despite this, the management has done nothing to address or rectify the situation. While Fabio and Laura are exceptional instructors who have created a welcoming and positive environment, Enzo's poor behavior and unwarranted interference have significantly detracted from our overall experience at the gym.

Fabio, Lucas and Laura, the instructors, are phenomenal. They create an inclusive and supportive environment, encouraging both adults and children to excel. My son, who competes (and podiums) at the highest levels of jiu jitsu at both IBJJF and ADCC tournaments, has particularly thrived under their guidance. Despite his young age, he is welcomed in the adult classes where he trains alongside me, his mother, and his older sister. The energy he brings to the class is appreciated by all, and it has been a joy to see our family bonding over jiu jitsu. Unfortunately, our positive experience has been marred by the behavior of the office manager, Enzo. This individual rarely visits the gym and when he does, he only engages with the parents of new customers, ignoring those of us who are already committed members. During one of his rare appearances, he observed a class where my son was participating with his family. His demeanor was unwelcoming, and he ultimately forced Fabio to tell my son that he could no longer join the adult classes. This decision was made in a manner that deeply upset my son, who was left crying and heartbroken. The other students were visibly disturbed by the manager's actions and voiced their support for my son. The lack of consideration and respect from the office manager has been disappointing, and despite the overwhelming support from the coaches and fellow students, there has been no effort from management to address or rectify the situation. It is disheartening to see such a negative impact on our experience due to the actions of one individual.
