I came in as a visitor from another Gracie Barra school (Gracie Barra SW Portland). I've had experience with dozens of Brazilian Jiujitsu schools (both GB on non GB) all over the world. I’m incredibly impressed with the new Gracie Barra school in Cincinnati. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is a well-run and welcoming place. The facilities are brand new—clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. There’s plenty of space on the mats, and the seating area is spacious and comfortable for family and friends who are watching. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, ready to answer questions or guide you through the registration/visitation process. It’s clear they care about providing a great experience from the moment you walk in the door. The instructors are what really make this school special. They’re not only highly skilled in jiu-jitsu, but also incredibly supportive and approachable. Whether you're a complete beginner or have years of experience, they make you feel welcome and motivated to learn. If you're looking for a positive and professional place to train in Cincinnati, this Gracie Barra school is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

My 7yo daughter loves it! She talked about doing karate but I don’t think she knew the difference and I showed her videos and she realized this is what she wanted. I was a little surprised because she’s not a ‘fighter’ or an ‘aggressor’ but she’s learning so much. She knows how to be defensive and get out of situations or positions and knows how to get control of a situation and stay composed and level-headed while she’s trying to figure out what to do next.

This place is a great place to train! Hands down awesome introduction to Jiu Jitsu for new people . They teach and instruct very well! Constantly available for questions. The plus side to this spot is the community. My daughter also trains Jiu Jitsu. She absolutely loves Professor Zack and coach Tyler who teach her class. Seriously if you’re thinking of learning the art of Jiu Jitsu this is the spot!!

My 2 boys started going when they first opened, we just recently had to cancel as our work schedules changed making it difficult to attend and with the addition of another son soon to arrive, decided to put extracurriculars on hold. My boys attended the little champs class. The coaches are awesome, they get along great with the children keeping practices fun while still educational. They work with new students to make sure they don't feel left out and are up to speed with the drills, giving individual attention no matter the group size. In addition safety is a priority teaching the foundations, break falls etc laying the groundwork for progression into the sport. My boys are 4 and 5 for reference and enjoyed their time greatly, I highly recommend attending the parents/family night as that was always a highlight for both myself and the children. Would highly recommend going to this location.

Gracie Barra by far is the best Jiu-Jitsu program you can enroll in! We were traveling from Charleston SC and my son wanted to train while we were here. Every professor was very welcoming and friendly! They provided great instruction to the kids and all had fun while learning essential skills! Highly recommend!
