As an absolute newcomer to BJJ in every way, joining GB Glasgow in 2022 is one of the best things I have ever done. The school is incredibly welcoming, knowledgable, and full of members who want to support each other. If you are considering trying BJJ, I cannot recommend enough that you book a trial class at GB Glasgow.

A great place to train, get fit or just build some confidence. Professor Ricky and both his daughters are very professional, experienced and very welcoming. Both myself and my daughter train at this academy and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to try something different and fun. The kids classes are amazing for building your child’s confidence as well as having fun.

Started in October 2023 at 42 years old. Iam now 43 and just had my first belt promotion ( now blue belt ). I can honestly say it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. Wish I started years ago. Better late than never eh ? I can’t recommend this place highly enough , Professor Ricky Gillon along with his other professors and coach’s make the journey of learning jiu-jitsu the most enjoyable experience ever. We are a family and it’s a family iam very proud to say iam a part off. You must come down and have a try and meet the team. OSS 💪🏼

Professor Ricky Gillon is very helpful and proficient on both Jiujitsu and teaching. There are good grappling athletics who can won gold and silver medals but could not even explain their best techniques to students. What really matters is the mastery of the art, Prof Ricky can guide you through your journey whether you are new to martial arts or you are a seasoned wrestler! Highly recommended!

This is the place to start your Jiu-jitsu journey, and ride it as long as you can. Ricky is a stellar instructor, razor sharp fundamentals and he is quick to provide specific improvements for your game. Good facilities. Excellent room of training partners. Super welcoming. AND the kids class looked awesome - wish I would have started back then!
