Amazing gym!! The sense of community here is amazing!! Everyone is so supportive and encouraging, which makes it a great environment to learn and grow. As a woman that wears a head covering (hijab) , I especially appreciate the women’s only classes with Prof Sheryll and Coach Maiah, who create such an empowering and comfortable space. Highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in BJJ, regardless of their background or experience!

the team at GB Blacktown are incredibly passionate, friendly and genuinely invested in their members. They’ve created such an inclusive environment to learn BJJ, whether you’re completely new or experienced, and the vibe is always welcoming. What stands out is their drive to bring Jiu-Jitsu into the mainstream sports world—making it accessible, family-friendly and something that everyday people can enjoy and grow through. They run fantastic programs for both adults and kids—fun, practical and confidence-building. We love collaborating with their club and community; they truly put their clients at the centre of everything they do. Keep up the awesome work team! 👏🏼🥋✨

I’m honestly having such a great time here. I came in for jiu-jitsu, but I’m getting so much more out of it than just training. The coaches and people here give great advice—not only about jiu-jitsu but about everyday life too. It’s become more than a gym for me; it feels like a safe place where I can grow as a person. Every lesson on the mats somehow connects to life outside of them—learning patience, staying calm, pushing yourself, and not giving up. Special thanks to Prof. David, Isaiah, their family, and all the other coaches for creating such an amazing environment. I really feel like I’m improving both in jiu-jitsu and in who I am day to day. Highly recommend!!!

We absolutely love Gracie Barra Blacktown! My 4 year old looks forward to every single class and has so much fun while learning. The coaches are amazing with the kids, patient, and really know how to bring out the best in them. The community here is so welcoming, supportive, and family oriented, it really feels like being part of one big family. It’s such a positive environment and the perfect place for our boy to use up his energy in a healthy, structured, and rewarding way. We’ve seen his confidence grow so much since starting. We couldn’t recommend Gracie Barra Blacktown enough for any families looking to get their kids into jiu-jitsu!
