I started jiu-jitsu in August of 23. When I started I just wanted to lose some weight and have a new hobby. I got a ton more than I planned for. Professor Bruno has coached me to placing and even winning in every tournament I have signed up for. I weighed 323 lbs in August of 23 as of May 24 I weigh 254. Loss of almost 70 lbs. My mental health has skyrocketed. And I can't say enough what this place and these people mean to me. I have since enrolled my 6 year old son and soon will enroll my 3 year old daughter.

Jiu Jitsu has been a great experience for my 8-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. They are both very comfortable there. My son, who is naturally shy, has made huge progress in breaking out of his shell, gaining confidence and interacting comfortably with coaches and other kids. It blew us away! Above all, they both enjoy the classes and have a lot of fun!

We enrolled my son in this school for self-discipline, self-defense, and exercise. We are extremely happy with the results. The professors, community, and classes are second to none. I strongly encourage all parents to enroll their children and even themselves in Professor Bryan's schools.
What a wonderful school! The Professor is highly skilled, patient, and really knows how to engage, train, and motivate my young sons as they dive more deeply into this practical and effective martial art. This offers them not only self defense, but also total physical conditioning and mental training. He makes it so much fun for the kids. I love watching their class. Having trained in Shotokan Karate and T'ai Chi Ch'uan, I've noticed that the Professor brings that sincere, ineffable spirit to practice that is at times quite hard-to-find when pursuing a martial art. This essence is just as important to me as all of the physical, biomechanics training. I can't recommend this school more. You won't be disappointed.

This is one of the best bjj dojo I have trained. The place is flawless! Porf. Wess is a very welcoming person and patience. You will train in a safe environment with nice people around you. Safety, companionship and discipline is always encourage. And a big plus for me is that even if you missed a class or technique you will always a second chance to review it. And on top of everything prof. Wess likes to play classical music when rolling! It makes everything more smooth.
I trained here when I was in town for a work function. I normally train in Denver, CO. Professor Wes and team were incredibly warm and welcoming. The classes were expertly run with really sound technique. The facility was clean and bright. I brought in a team mate who hadn't trained at a Gracie Barra before and he was very impressed with the structure and the quality of the class. I can't recommend this gym highly enough. I have trained at a few different schools. This is a very controlled school and an excellent learning enviroment. The mats are high grade and cleaned at the end of class. The professor gives very good instruction and the other students have been pretty good as well (no egos). I love training here. Check it out, and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

If you’re on the fence about starting to train jiu jitsu, or you already train but want something closer to the Bellevue area, I highly recommend Gracie Barra Bellevue! Professor Wes and his team are knowledgeable, skilled, hardworking, and absolutely amazing!
This Place is awesome! Professor Wes leads from the front with the best Martial Arts Program I’ve ever seen. Facility is clean and Tidy and Staff is genuinely friendly. This is a family friendly environment and we as a community are glad to have them here.
My husband is Professor Wes. His journey started with BJJ ten years ago. He was always a baseball guy until he had one intro class. He immediately jumped into this sport. It has been amazing for our marriage and our family. It gives him time for himself but the most important thing is a brotherhood. I have watched him just grow as person. His passion has led him to open this location to bring this sport to others. We our a family based business and look forward to seeing the community.
Great training! Instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are great with the kids! My little one is having so much fun learning self defense. Professor Bruno is a fantastic instructor! He is so passionate and knowledgeable, always wants to help his students grow and pushes everyone to work hard. Since Professor Bruno departed, the quality of instruction significantly diminished.
Edit: they’ve been through two head instructors since I wrote this review, the latest to leave was incredible and firing him right before a large tournament seemed… shortsighted by the owner. His instruction (and the location) was enough to make me overlook the negative sides of this gym. You have to buy all your equipment (gi, belt, undershirt, and even shorts) from Gracie Barra, which are overpriced and low quality. No higher belts to train with, small location, and too kid oriented (they started putting toys in the entrance to reward them for good behavior). The whole competition team left after the second instructor was fired, some of who were unable to cancel their membership and had to deactivate their credit card on file. I no longer recommend this gym. Sean Hammonds is the best BJJ gym in Nashville and Outlook is the best MMA gym close to Bellevue in my opinion. I’ve also heard good things about prospectus. Original review: Wish I had joined earlier. Great Nashville Jiu Jitsu facility that's clean, comfortable and welcoming. Offers different levels of classes giving the option to take it slow and focus on technique, or be competitive and spar with other students. Has helped me get back into shape and lose weight, both by providing motivation and in class exercise. Also a great location in Bellevue.
