I take my son to the Sunday’s 2 year old classes and I find it a great way to introduce him to the MMA world. I see his attention and skills improving after every class. Absolutely would recommend it to any parent looking for a disciplinary activity for their little ones!
Was in Miami for the week on vacation and stopped in to train. The gym is set up very nice and everyone was really helpful/respectful. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Miami.
Used to train here back in 2006 2007 they still had the 30 day free trial back then too ... David and Marcos are great guys ... I know enough to get by and handle myself if need be after that ..very much appreciated!!

As a current FFA student, I’ve recently been promoted from grey belt to white belt which means I’m officially in the cap program! I’m excited for what the future has for me. But it would feel wrong for me not to give praise to my sensei, coach Jose aka the fresh prince of Kendall! Not to brag but my coach has put previous UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in a rear naked choke to give him his first loss of only 4 losses in his career. Wow what a feat! He’s been patient with me throughout the last 5-6 months during the intro classes which I really appreciate. It feels amazing to learn something new with every class I attend. I really am grateful to have one heck of a martial artist as my instructor!
Overall amazing experience. Coaches were super nice and explained everything super well. In just a few weeks I saw great improvement in my skills and I definitely enjoyed every second at the academy!
Coaches truly care about their students. Amazing training program for all ages. Personally Coach Che Moreno has been training my 12 and 17 year olds as well as me at 52 for many years now in both Martial Arts and Fitness. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

This place is fantastic. I wish I could stay here but have other obligations to tend to for now. I hope to return here again in the future once things settle down a bit for me.
The Friday am grappling class is fantastic. I was a little nervous coming in as a woman with only a little experience with gi jiu jitsu, but I truly felt like I was in good hands. Comprehensive warmup, clearly explained drills, and lots of feedback from the coach. If you are thinking about training here please don’t hesitate- Freestyle Fighting is the real deal!
Had an amazing experience at this gym. Leo was fantastic at getting me checked in quickly and showing me around the facilities. They have everything you could ever desire in a gym. The environment is supportive and friendly, you can tell the genuinely want you to do your best and are there to help you achieve that. 10/10 will definitely be back!!!

This is a really good place. The equipment they have here is really good my most favorite equipment is the wooden thing they have against the ring.
After taking a 14-year hiatus from practicing Karate, I decided to try my hand at MMA and joined Freestyle Fighting Academy. I couldn't have made a better choice! The coaches, Marcos, Erick, and Edgard, are among the best in Miami and its surrounding areas. I highly recommend this gym to everyone, whether or not you have previous martial arts experience. So give it a go, and you won't be disappointed.
Great academy for fitness and self defense. I love the programs that they offer. Also, the instructors are very experienced and professional. I love the motivation and push they give me when I feel like giving up. The kids programs is incredible! I love it.
Parents, I'll keep it short. Putting my child in MMA has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Teens nowadays are very sensitive, have a lot of self-emotions and spend way too much time on the phone. I have seen firsthand all the positive changes. Even when it rains my "teen" doesn't want to miss it lol. I couldn’t be more grateful to the whole staff/teams/coaches even to those teens that attend. Thank you.

This is THE best gym I have ever been to. I’m not a particularly athletic person, but coming to this MMA gym has changed my life. The classes are taught by the most amazing, down to earth, knowledgeable people that are professionals in the sport. I never thought I’d be able to do something like this, but coaches Edgard and Eric really got me out of my comfort zone and have taught me so much. The people from the classes are also amazing and take time to help and teach you moves. If you think you can’t do something intense like MMA but like the idea of it— just go for it. You won’t regret it. I definitely don’t.

Great school, very professional, kids not only learn fighting skills but discipline . My kid is doing great and has improved tremendously.
I started bringing my second son here about 4 years ago. He has a lot of difficulty with changes and new things, so needless to say, while we knew this was what he wanted he still had a very hard time opening up and integrating himself. What made this experience so wonderful was the fact that each coach (especially coach Eric and Ninja) and had so much love and patience with him that I could never thank them enough. My other two boys are now in the MMA program as well and the discipline and self confidence that they have gained (aside from so many other things) is astounding. Everyone here is truly like family and we’re so glad to be a part of it.
We have been members of this gym for 3 years and it has been great. As a beginner coach Erick helped me and was a great teacher. Would recommend him as a coach.

Been training here for 6 months with Coach Che. It’s been a great experience, people aren’t trying to rip your head off but we focus much on technique. Great workout

I have been training here since November 2021 and have had nothing but positive experiences. The coaches (specifically Coach Che) have helped me grow and progress physically and mentally. The camaraderie you build in these classes as you all push each other to achieve your goals is one of a kind!!
The women’s only boot camp class is unlike any workout I’ve ever done before. The equipment is clean and new, the people are sweet and supportive, and the instructors are smart, funny and very inspirational. I am lucky to be apart of such a wonderful gym community.

I came to Miami on vacation and wanted to get some training in. So I figured I’d come check out freestyle fighting academy since I heard good thing and have seen some excellent training videos with their instructors. From the second I came in everyone was extremely welcoming and I couldn’t have ask for a better experience. I got great training in over the time I was their in mma and they even through in some self defence tactics after class that I really enjoyed. I travel a lot for work so I’ve been to my share of different gyms where when they see a new guy pop in they don’t pay much attention to you. But while I was their I was treated like one of their own members and the instructors spent their time making sure I was doing the techniques properly. When ever I’m in Miami I’ll be coming back to this gym to train 100%!
Amazing intro classes that are super beginner friendly and a lot of opportunity to advance in your training. Great atmosphere as everyone is very humble and the location is convenient too; close to the turnpike and the palmetto. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and pass on the technique very well.

Staff is friendly and courteous, Instructor Tulio was very knowledgeable and made me feel welcomed. I will be signing up in the near future. Ask to be evaluated to see what level you should start, they have classes for beginners so no sweat if you have no experience. What I do suggest is to make sure your in some type of shape because the drills they have you do are similar to cross fit. If your looking to improve your self-defense skills I would highly recommend this school.
This place is by far the best experience ever. I've been a member for over 3 years. They have showed me how it's possible to do things I always thought it was impossible. Like jogging a few half marathons already! I learned how to eat clean and my family is really happy with the outcome! Best coaches in town!!

After visiting about 6 karate schools in the area I chose FFA because of the kids MMA program which in my opinion teaches more real-world self defense.
My daughter's coach is coach Che, and he's awesome! He's great at breaking things down and has awesome patience with the kids!! Hes also very motivating!
I definitely recommend this place especially if your child is a beginner. What they learn first is what they'll always remember :)

The staff and students here are inspiring, motivational, educated, courteous, and polite. The only trouble is Member Services cause they will eek out a devilish detail in the contract to hound each member, especially those in the Combat Athlete Program, for not continuing to pay throughout the year should a student need to cancel their membership before it is over. Seriously though, do not let the financial staff reflect on the educational staff, they are not the same at all. I love all the instructors and the ambience they generate just by being who they are. I promise, you WILL find expert advice and wisdom! Just stay grounded!
BEWARE. They do not honor the “famous 30 day free trial.” Took 1 free class. One paid class. No free uniform, no free private class. Cancelled in writing within the 30 days. Since then they have billed my card monthly of which I’ve had to dispute. Now threatening to ruin my credit. Luckily everything is documented. It’s just so disappointing. The only strategy I can see here is wanting to rip someone off.
Scummy business practices, lock you in on a contract and refuse payment holds under any circumstances. And overcomplicate cancellation by having you fill various forms, even auto renewal requires a form you have to fill on your part in order to cancel. Worse part is that if you decide to leave and perhaps comeback later they require you to sign yet another contract as opposed to monthly service payments. Terrible experience.

Vine la semana pasada con mi niño de 5 años para ver los paquetes de precio y horarios,para ver si lo podiamos inscribir,y me dijeron que necesitaba un appoiment para ver las instalaciones ,y ahi nos poniamos de acuerdo y veiamos lo mas conveniente para nosotros y la escuela,insisti en el tema de los horarios y los precios pero no quisieron darme detalles,vengo hoy puntual a mi cita y lo primero q me dicen es q para no hacerme perder mi tiempo antes de comenzar debo saber que los horarios son a las 5pm q si no podia para q iban a darme el recorrido x las instalacion.Esta de mas decir lo molesta que sali y la decepcion que se llevo mi hijo,xq desde el primer dia me hubiese dicho eso y no hubiese perdido mi tiempo ni mi niño se hubiese ilusionado,no obstante como ya teniamos el appointment le digo para q le de el recorrido a Mi esposo que tambien estaba buscando opciones,y me dijo que debia sacar otra cita,es una falta de respeto y a esta escuela no regreso mas hasta que aprendan a tratar a sus clientes y no jugar con el tiempo ajeno
