Did a drop in class last night and doing one more tonight before I head home from traveling in Orlando for some military training. If you are in the area, definitely stop by. The instructors and other members displayed great hospitality and were very welcoming. Even got a few more techniques after class to take back home with me. Plenty of mat space and a great facility as well.

I started Jui Jitsu about a month and a half ago. Very humbling experiences through out. I had to travel for work and a good friend of mine recommended that I come here. Being new to this, it intimidating but Daniel made me feel like family and all the fells I met did the same. That bond right there said it all to me—feels like that Marine Corps brotherhood. All the athletes here were fantastic and the atmosphere is definitely conducive for learning and for me helps my self esteem for one new to Jui Jistu. I highly recommend this spot—definitely top notch for all skill levels, even a novice like me. Thanks Daniel, I appreciate you.

I usually train at FR in downtown, but since I was in Lake Nona I wanted to check out this gym and was not disappointed. I came straight to open mat on Thursday night from a hospital where our device was being demo'd and I was a little late, but everyone was very laid back and offered to roll with me, especially the owner Daniel. I was able to roll with 3 other blue belts and then Daniel rolled with me for about 15 minutes. It was awesome getting to know him. We talked so much I walked out with him and one of his students after he locked up for the night. Next time I am in Lake Nona for a night, I will be back. Hopefully I can catch a class.

I've attended both Thursday and Friday no-gj classes taught by the brown belt, Noel, and I can't recommend them enough. Is he a comedian? A prodigy? Some kind of jiu jitsu genius? I don't know but his classes are everything learning should be. They are hilarious and practical. And by practical I mean that they aren't rote memorization of choreography, but constraint-based live application that allow the practitioner to apply the concepts towards their own personal game. But he makes it FUN and interesting to be there, and the mood and environment is light in a way that allows us to laugh at ourselves while problem solving and addressing our own errors. Noel is extremely knowledgable on the WHY and HOW things work, but doesn't over-address the nuanced mechanics. Instead, he presents both problems and solutions in a practical and applied format that is easier for a variety of learning styles to digest. As a smaller-sized instructor, too, he is able to really present things in a way that makes sense for a variety or body types, without discounting the benefits of strength. As an educator myself, I can't stress enough that the efficacy of a coach isn't in their bio or their medals or even their lineage. Good coaching is measured only by the ability to produce results in students of diverse backgrounds. This is one of my favorite gyms to visit.

I started with my teen son 4 years ago. The FRBJJ family rescued my lost son with an overwhelming sense of belonging and fascinating crafts to study through both Muay Thai and Jui Jitsu. It was an amazing experience to learn along side my son and watch him thrive in this environment. I will continue with FRBJJ Lake Nona long after my son is away in the military as I too have found a strong sense of belonging and an eager determination to learn more and get better. I only wish I would have started earlier. Don't wait like I did!!!

I was visiting Orlando, in town on a work trip and wanted to get some rolls in and some training so I looked up places on Google maps and decided to try this one. I called first and the owner Daniel answered and was very cool. I showed up and found it to be an awesome place with a very welcoming and friendly vibe but also totally legit. Daniel taught the lesson and it was very professional and formal while still being friendly and accommodating. Excellent dudes there, good mix of beginners to brown and black belts and a good vibe of kind killers. Their website said there was no ego there and that's just what I found. Had some great rolls and took away good training. Highly recommend. I plan to come back.

We searched the Lake Nona area and visited a few and this place was the best. Really well managed, great instructors that are always involved in teaching and sharing their knowledge. This place is top notch. My kids have really progressed here. We love it.

Having mostly trained JiuJitsu in a college club, Daniel immediately showed how welcoming and equally motivated and curious everyone was. I thought Daniel was technical, detailed, and encouraged a comfortable learning environment. My training partners during my first classes were all genuinely a pleasure to meet!

I travel regularly for work. Was in the Orlando region for the week. Stopped in for a fundamentals class and no-gi classes. The instruction was great, clearly presented and the details of the lessons were great. Also enjoyed some great situational sparring and no-gi rolls. Everyone was very welcoming and the jiu jitsu was good. Everyone presented good skill and challenging rolls. If you in the area, bring your gi and give them a visit! Will hopefully be back if time allows!

This is one of the best BJJ schools in Orlando. I’ve tried out a few but this one embraced me with open arms while I was going through a tough time. Everybody there makes you feel part of a family. It's always great energy...no egos...and everyone is always willing to help out. I've been to two other BJJ schools in the past and this has been by far my best experience.

I started training at FRBJJ in August 2019 at the age of 42. Daniel is great about working with all skill levels while challenging everyone there as well. I'm a professional Fireman and the family atmosphere at FR reminds me of being at the Station hanging with the crew, very close knit group who are all focused on everyone's progression! Racking some injuries over 18 years of firefighting had me a bit nervous about beginning my Jiu-jitsu journey, but FR has a focus on safety and makes you feel comfortable whatever your situation is. Only wish I have is that I found them sooner!

Affordable membership,that allows you to attend any of the classes. All of the teachers and assistants are amazing, patient, they make everyone feel welcome and give attention where attention is needed. My son is 14 years old he loves attending Jiu Jitsu twice a week and Muy Thai twice a week, sometimes more. In just a few short months, I've noticed his confidence and stamina improve. I have trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu all around the country for the past 4.5 years. Belong to 2 different gyms in the past and dropping in at multiple gyms during road trips. I finally settled in Florida and found frbjj. This gym is by far the best gym. From their top notch instructors to amazing training partners, frbjj has surpassed all my expectations and then some. They will make anyone feel right at home with their friendly but like family atmosphere. Come train!

From leaving one gym to this one and only being here for a year makes it feel like time flew by. Being a girl and going to these classes can be awkward for some. But honestly Daniel and Jorge are so involved in making sure you're comfortable. If you need help they do not even hesitate, they are there on the spot. Definitely feels more like a family than anything else. Everyone who trains there are respectful and humble. If not you just tell Daniel and he'll take care of it. PORRADA!

If you’re a beginner or like to compete give it a try, within the first week you’ll feel part of the family you’ll have people eager to show you the ropes and also help mold you into a better competitor. I sign up my 18 year old son(then) a little over 10 months ago and decided to sing up myself to share something in common with him, spend time together and get out my comfort zone. It was one my best decision I have made, and life changing. Besides exceeding my goals mentioned earlier, I have gain so many friendships, confidence and knowledge of the science that is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It wasn’t easy but well worth every minute spend in the mat. The owner/instructor Daniel and instructor Jorge are very knowledgeable, professional, approachable and friendly. 🤙🏽

This is probably the best place to train BJJ in Orlando. The facility is very clean and welcoming, the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, and there's a palpable cameraderie amongst all the students who train there. The class structure is formal enough to be organized, but not so rigid as to feel pretentious. Overall, this is a great place to train. I live five minutes away, but it could be 30 minutes away and I'd make the drive.
