Our youngest son has been boxing here for the last few months, and he has greatly enjoyed the experience. Jesse, Jina, and the other trainers/coaches here do a great job with teaching and with fostering a very supportive environment for all ages and skill levels. People get treated like family here, and that is a massive plus. The fighters show up time and again to put in the work knowing they leave the gym better for it.

Great experience! Everyone was welcoming and with the morning classes and the group was like one big family. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Appleton to drop in and/or anyone wanting to get good rolls in.

Flashback is absolutely amazing! Our daughter takes private lessons and has shown remarkable results in her physical and mental health. We are treated like family here and would never go anywhere else. The owners Jesse and Jina have the best prices for class and private lessons plus so flexible with schedules.

Flashback is a great place to go if you’re interested in martial arts. It is a very friendly and fun environment and when you join you feel like you become part of a family. The coaches are very knowledgeable and everyone there is very nice and will make you feel welcome. It doesn’t matter what your experience level is or your background there will be a bunch of people there ready to support you on your new journey.

Flashback is the best! It's pretty scarry walking into a martial arts gym the first time. My first experience was amazing made friends almost instantly. Flashbacks culture is very encouraging, friendly, and not to mention full of guys and girls that are very knowledgeable! I highly suggest stopping in and trying it out, it can be life changing!

From the moment I stepped onto the mat, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the facility is. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, making it easy for both beginners and experienced practitioners to feel at home. The respect and camaraderie among the members and instructors are truly inspiring; everyone is eager to help each other improve. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to train in a supportive and friendly environment. It’s truly a hidden gem in the BJJ community!

I dont even know where to start. I only do the boxing side but everyone is so nice and welcoming. This feels like a second family. Coach Jesse is an amazing dude and always helps us get better. Sparring is done at a very safe level and we just keep trying to get better. I would for sure recommend this to anybody!

I can't recommend Flashback Jiu-Jitsu and Boxing enough. The owners, Jesse and Jina, are so passionate, welcoming, and have really created something special in this gym. I started showing up to jiu-jitsu and boxing classes with no background in martial arts (and 25 pounds heavier than now, earlier on in my health journey). I was welcomed with open arms into the Flashback family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Jesse & Jina. Looking forward to training with you again!

Been going here over 6 months, it's a great gym with great people. Train hard but also make sure you are getting the knowledge base as well. Great for beginners and more advanced. Feels like a family and is a lot of fun.

This place has accepted me with open arms. They are great people, they all care, they all make you a little better each and every session. I could talk for days about how great this place is. I know the first few steps are scary, but it’s well worth it.

Great place to learn self defense or regular Jiu-Jitsu, or both at an extremely affordable price. The instructors are highly trained black belts and encourage an atmosphere of friendly competition and training. Everyone here wants everyone to train hard and succeed.

This place is absolutely awesome. Came here for my son to find a place to help him and ended up doing it with him and staying myself. It’s more like family then just another gym. Coach Jesse and Jina are both great and patient with my son who has bad ADD. They’re very knowledgeable and helpful and their kids are very helpful as well. Couldn’t be happier with a place for us both to go even the others in the gym are more than willing to help both me and my son out while we’re there. Become more of friends with the others and the coaches. Highly recommend this place!!

Even though I am new to ju jitsu, the coaching team is fantastic. Anyone who is looking to get into grappling, I would highly recommend checking out a class or two. They understand the art and have a passion for teaching it.

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was joining Flashback for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! I have been going for a little over a year and am learning a ton and lost 20lbs in the process. Jesse Rueger, owner and gym black belt also is a great coach. He has an incredible lineage, earning his black belt from Radrigo Vaghi, the highest ranked Rickson Gracie promoted black belt in America!

Can’t say enough good things about his place. Not only is the knowledge and embodiment of the art and sport present here, but also the quality of people committed to serving people! If your living in the area or living 500 miles away, this is definitely a place to check out. For those living in the area and considering beginning their Martial arts journey, you do not want to miss the opportunity to train here!

Flashback is a great place filled with great people. Jesse and Jina are the coaches and have done an excellent job cultivating a culture that welcomes everyone from beginners to experts. They are passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the people they work with and helping people grow. I personally got into it just to check it out and try something new… I’ve been hooked ever since! There are so many benefits physically, mentally/emotionally and socially. I have seen personal growth in all these areas inside the gym and out. This is all thanks to the coaches and students that make this place great. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner! Overall: great place, great people, great coaches/coaching, and a great sport.

I honestly can't explain how amazing the atmosphere is at Flashback and how incredible the instructors are and the entire team in general. I transitioned to jiu-jitsu from CrossFit and it was all incredibly new to me as I had never done any form or martial arts prior. To be honest, it was one of the best transitions I ever did. It's been a very positive experience for me so far, an incredible challenge for myself who got very comfortable in what I was doing before, and I have found yet another group of people to add to my support system. It truly is like family there.

This gym is badass!!! From the yellow mats to the cool picture frames. I had the privilege to attend a seminar there while visiting Wisconsin. Coach Jesse and his wife were very welcoming. If you live in Appleton or are just driving through you have to stop in train.
