We enrolled our kids at Enzo when we realized self defense was a necessary life skill. They quickly gained confidence and learned to advocate for themselves. The approach taken was supportive without being overly protective, which was beneficial for them and exactly what they needed. We look forward to returning once we are settled back in the valley.

I genuinely love this gym! The coach is a very dedicated and caring person. Coach Brenda may come off as strict, but she’s only trying to help you succeed and better yourself not just in jiu jitsu but with yourself with self discipline. Not only is the coach great, but so are the other students. Always helping each other and uplifting one another. I highly recommend this gym to everyone!
I had never tried Joy Jitsu or even considered it, but starting going and really appreciated how they build skills little by little. With every lesson they build on previous lessons, so I never feel lost. Everyone including the coaches are kind people who authentically want us to improve. So I learn something every time I go and feel like I am actually getting better

This is the first BJJ Gym I have trained at. As a beginner to the sport I felt Welcome the second I walked In. There is a great variety. From very experienced instructors to students just like me very new to the sport. Everyone is willing to help and make you feel welcome and most important absolutely GET AFTER IT!
My kids have been training here since February & they love it! The instructors are great, they have patience to train kids of all ages with many different personalities. My kids have learned so much & really look forward to their training. I would recommend Enzo to anyone looking for self defense training.
We felt it was important to provide our kids with an opportunity to develop a life skill for situations that occur when we may not be around...whether it’s now or as they get older. Jiu Jitsu at Enzo has provided exactly what we had been looking for. They have both learned how to defend themselves. They have become stronger physically and emotionally. Jiu jitsu has been empowering and their self confidence and self esteem has improved. I only wish we had started sooner.
I have been training here since late April and will be until October 2022. This gym is a Team Lead affiliate and has 3 black belts and a variety of color belts to train with. Enzo students do compete, but offers BJJ classes for all types of individuals and goals. I highly recommend this gym.
I train at Strong Arm JJ in Corpus Christi, Texas and I have trained at Enzo JJ while I’ve been in McAllen for work. It’s a great place to train and learn. Top notch instruction from the Black Belt owner Brenda, as well as Black Belts Adam and Jose. The training is fun, the existing members are welcoming and the vibe is great. They take pride in their school and it shows, classes are structured well and the school is clean. Would highly recommend to anyone just starting their journey or looking for some high level training. Thanks for the hospitality Enzo JJ.

In the few months my daughter has been enrolled. It has been great! What I’m impressed by is the tough love approach. They truly care and it’s much bigger than jujitsu it’s about life. Instead of coddling, they let the kids find their own way and let them continue to grow from it. Confident kids makes amazing adults. Even though my daughter is no longer a member at Enzo, this school has been great and I still highly recommend it.

I enrolled my 6 yr old son in here a few months ago and he has been really enjoying learning so many new techniques from the professors here, and it has also been a great help with him managing his emotions. I really love the atmosphere here, they're all professionals at what they do and I feel safe leaving my child in their class, which was one of my big worries. I would recommend these classes for kids of all ages, even adults!
So humbled and thankful for the time I got to spend at this school today. I was traveling for work and they were so welcoming and allowed me to come in and train. Hello, I am in town for work and was able to make a few training sessions here at Enzo jujitsu in McAllen. The coaches and members are welcoming and hospitality is second to none. The coaching and guidance from Brenda and Alex is detailed and very precise. Leaned a lot in my few sessions here and will like to return to train in the near feature.The school also offers a wide variety of training hours so there is no excuse not to check this place out when you are in McAllen. I attended Enzo during an open mat one Friday and I must say, what a great gym! It’s a clean, organized, and friendly atmosphere. Brenda, the owner, was very informative and, most importantly, very welcoming. Unfortunately, I was just in town for a weekend, but if I lived in the area, I would most definitely join their family. If you are looking for a bjj gym that is family oriented, professional, and has some of the RGVs best competitors in both adults and kids. This is the place. It's way more than a monthly subscription. If you put your faith in their process, with time, you or your kids will be doing things and moving in ways you never thought possible. The Proffessor along with instructors are very approachable and make you feel welcomed. So don't be shy and give it a try. For me, bjj was an escape and avery humbling experience that I will always hold on to. Whether your at your lowest or your best, none of that matters when you step on those mats. Just you and your teammates trying to get better and pushing each other to be better.

I haven’t been a member of many jiu jitsu or mma gyms but ever since I joined Enzo, it feels more like becoming a member of a growing family! The environment is exceptional and you learn on a daily basis! People make excuses as far as classes only being offered in the evenings, or during the afternoon...well they now offer a 5am class! If you still can’t find the time to train, you’re not making the time! Highly recommend Enzo and their trainers! Proud to be a part of the team and family!

Came here to not only get fit and learn how to Defend myself from 10 year old bullies in the playground (mainly little Timmy) but how to practice self-control and discipline. Long have I wondered what it felt like to black out in a triangle hold. Well after meeting Alex and Brenda I no longer wonder such things. The cleanliness is amazing and the mats taste great after being slammed into them face first. Overall I highly recommend this Jiu-Jutsu Academy for those that may want to avenge their families due to flying Ninjas.
I remember being super nervous about wanting to try out this art! The staff made me feel so comfortable that those nerves flew out the window! The professor is extremely knowledgeable, and the coaches are super helpful when teaching! The atmosphere and vibe in the academy is one of family. The teammates are super helpful and caring! I LOVE this place!

The coaches here are fantastic. They have established a great environment where people can come in and learn and not have to deal with the ego or bravado other places have. My kids love attending Enzō and are quickly discovering a lot about themselves. I’m glad we unearthed this gem.
Just getting back into Jiu-Jitsu and the atmosphere here is better than any place I've trained at. The classes are in-depth and the knowledge from the instructors is invaluable. I'm so glad I found this place when I did (10/10 would recommend to anybody)
I am a 3rd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, and I have been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu now for over 21 years, and martial arts for 30 years. I have also known Brenda for many years, and I highly recommend Enzo Jiu-Jitsu!! Brenda is a very knowledgeable black belt who goes above and beyond just teaching skills, as she is passionate about teaching and cares about all of her students, wanting to see them succeed and reach their full potential. She and the other instructors also provide a very fun, safe, positive environment to learn and grow in. Whether your goals are to be build confidence and self-esteem, get in shape, just a fun hobby, to learn self-defense, or to be a high level competitor, you can achieve all of them here. Barley started the coaches are great who emphasize on technique and teach at a reasonable pace for beginners (Me). People are friendly and easygoing.
Brenda is very approachable and right away, she makes you feel like you're a part of her class. She's always willing to teach most especially when you're just starting to know the beautiful art of jiujitsu. Her assistant, Alex, is also very accommodating to teach you and answers your questions in the most honest way possible. Keep it up guys.

My whole family attends Enzo Jiu Jitsu Academy! The instructors and students are amazing. Especially for beginners like me, they are patient and guide me step by step on the different moves. It helps to get in shape. It is fun and engaging. Working out tends to be redundant but with Jiu Jitsu its always something different and we use our own body weight. We come out just drenched in sweat but it feels so cool! I definitely feel empowered! They offer kids classes, youth and adults; even an all female class as well as self-defense! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I went into jiujitsu being scared out of my mind. I was actually anxious before stepping into the mat and I swear, I almost cried. Once I actually started training though, I found my life changed. I feel so much better physically and even mentally. My anxiety has almost completely disappeared because I find myself being able to channel it better. I find myself challenged in a new way everyday. Enzo has been amazing. I love the coaches and I love the people I train with. It has become my home and they have become my family. I even got engaged there!
Excellent jiujitsu academy! I have been training jiujitsu for 10 years, and spent a lot of time training at different gyms. There’s a reason I have stayed here. Brenda truly cares about her students and puts 100% of her spirit into each and every one of them. The team is always encouraging and the training is tough! Cannot recommend this place enough!
I must admit I was intimidated attending a jiujitsu class because I had no prior experience but Brenda and her staff at enzo made me feel like I had been coming for years. She is the only female coach in my hometown and that also made me feel more inclined to come. Highly recommend you give this gym and Jiujitsu a try!
Enzō welcomes me with open arms. No macho energy here, everyone is friendly and helpful and genuinely want to see me improve. I’m very small but I feel safe and comfortable when I roll here which is the main thing I look for in an academy.
My grandson loves coming to Enzō Jiu Jitsu! All of the instructors are so awesome and take their time with the kids. Also work well not just with my grandson but with all of them. It has been an awesome experience so far seeing my him grow and learn. I highly recommend this gym. I’m grateful for the coach who motivates, inspires and lifts everyone there.

Enzo Jiu Jitsu Academy is a great place. We have our kids here. The kids class has a huge emphasis on team work, and helping each other to improve. Our kids love it here and get upset when we cant make it to class or go late and miss warm-ups. We Highly recommend it.
Such a great vibe and atmosphere! From the moment you walk in you feel welcome and greeted by the whole team. The teachers have so much patience and are willing to help and answer any questions. Feels good that you can relax and forget about everything else out in the world and just spent some time with such great people. Also the fact that they want you to keep coming back makes you look forward for the next class and honestly wouldn't trade it for anything else. 5 stars isn't enough to rate this gym, I would give it a 10 if it was up to me. Im definitely staying in here 👍

ENZO has an incredible atmosphere, everyone is so friendly and helpful it’s easy to feel comfortable in their gym.They also have a great kids program and my son really enjoys attending class. He likes training with kids of different belt ranks and loves he gets to roll with so many different students. A major plus for me was Enzo has a female black belt to teach and train kids and adults !

My experience with ENZO Jiu Jitsu has been extremely disappointing. The owner, Brenda, was unprofessional and rude. When I asked why they were closed on Memorial Day and how we could find out future closure dates, she became agitated and accused me of "getting rowdy." This was a simple inquiry, but her response was unnecessarily harsh and dismissive. She even cut me off mid-sentence and told me she didn’t like me, suggesting we shouldn’t return. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. My husband observed Brenda frequently yelling at the children, displaying a concerning lack of patience and professionalism. The instructors themselves were great, but Brenda’s behavior overshadowed their efforts with negativity and unprofessionalism. I hope ENZO Jiu Jitsu seriously reevaluates their customer service and addresses these issues. It’s disappointing when a place with potential is marred by such a negative experience.
The most rude receptionist I've have ever dealt with. As an employer myself I would have fired her knowing how she treated potential customers. You had one job girl and that was to be nice and courteous, you failed at that.
I just called this place to inquire and the chick who answered was so rude. As an employer myself I was shocked. I guess they have so much business they don't need to be nice to people. Crazy!!
