I've never had the joy of training at Empire, however today I was stuck in 8⁰ weather with my car unable to start and help a few hours away. Josh let me and my friend stay inside his building to keep warm! You don't need to train under Josh to recognize how kind and selfless he is! Couldn't say enough good things!

My husband and children train at Empire and we absolutely love it! We have had a very positive experience with Coach Josh. He takes everyone’s training seriously while at the same time making the class fun and enjoyable. As a homeschool mom, I love that I can watch my children have a fun time training and also meet and chat with other parents while I'm there. I'm so glad we found Empire!

Empire is an awesome grappling gym. Lots of good people and a good atmosphere. There’s classes for every skill level and both gi and nogi. Josh has a great style, blending self defense and sport jiu jitsu and a deep well of knowledge to add little improvements to your game no matter your background.

Awesome academy! Up here visiting, Josh and everyone were super welcoming and friendly. Loved the classes and the free rolling at the end of class. If I lived here I would definitely become a member. Look forward to my next visit.🤙🇺🇸

This is my first time training Jiu Jitsu. Empire is a great gym. Josh, the owner is an excellent instructor. He has kids classes, adult beginner, intermediate, and advanced. There are frequently guest instructors as well, which is great to see different techniques. My experience has been 100 percent positive. The class times are convenient, and the location is easily accessible.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Josh’s instructional style works well for me. And my kids. And my wife. Yeah, we all train here. The mats are clean, the community is friendly and the profesor is knowledgeable. Hope to see you there.

There are many instructors out there with a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience but few who are able to disseminate complex movement patterns and ideas in a digestible and meaningful way as Josh at Empire BJJ. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive to all levels and all learning types.

Absolutely phenomenal place. Josh is an amazing and understanding teacher that can work with students of any level. I dropped in for a Saturday class. The instructor and regular students were friendly and welcoming. The instructions was targeted to common problems which was super helpful. Instruction was clear and follow up helped me when I could quite figure it out. Drills and live rolling afterward. Great time with great people.

New to jujitsu and I always feel welcome! Great energy and respect from others. Excellent training and lots of attention from the instructor that is high level. Josh always will find a way to explain what you are trying to learn and has a great curriculum that will help you retain the information.

My family and I love this place. As far as Brazilian jiu jitsu goes there is an incredibly low barrier to entry and a high level of instruction as well. Super clean and located right off 295. Plenty of well lit, off street parking too. Check it out.
