The best Jiu Jitsu gym in the state just got better. They have expanded their mat size and tripled the previous space. Great family atmosphere. If you're looking for self defense, exercise, or just to meet new people come check it out. First week is free! Tell them Jason Jitsu sent you 😁

Stopped by for a drop-in while traveling to go skiing. Beautiful facility. Couldn’t be more welcoming. And Nick is an excellent professor. Has a host of nasty tricks up his sleeve (was the advanced class.) Super LE and Mil friendly. (There are places that actually aren’t. Was in DC last week googling a place to drop-in, and HighStyle jiu jitsu actually advertises on their website no law enforcement allowed… smh) Once you leave the bigger coastal towns there aren’t a ton of gyms in Maine. I can’t recommend enough making the drive, even if it is in the wrong direction from where you live or are traveling to. I will make it a point to come back when I come up to Maine each February.

Carll Clan is a top notch Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school. From the top down the instructors are all knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Unlike many martial arts schools I've seen, the atmosphere cultivated here is friendly and supportive, The kids classes welcome in the younger crowd with fun but educational classes where the kids feel like part of a team, not just a collection of individuals. The same goes for the adult classes, only we don't play games. Whatever your skill level, if you're thinking about coming to a new BJJ school, Carll Clan should be your first stop.

Great academy for both beginner and advanced Jiu Jitsu practitioners. I was visiting from out of town and the members are very welcoming and treat you like family from the moment you walk through the doors. Professor Shawn was very detailed with his instruction and showed some great techniques. This school is a great choice whether you are a hobbyist or are interested in competing at a high level!

More than a great environment to learn. They offer a welcoming community of experienced individuals who really want to see you improve. The owner and professor is there trying to make sure you're having fun. They offer kids classes which look like they are fun as well as instructional. They offer women only nights and wrestling as well. Truly well rounded and a no ego zone.
