Des Moines Jiu Jitsu Academy is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the passion and dedication that sets this place apart. The owner, Chris genuinely cares about jiu jitsu and about people, and that mindset flows through the entire academy. Amazing place to train, very welcoming with great jiu jitsu. World class coaches. Kids class is fun and engaging meeting children of all ages and levels where they are. I couldn't recommend a better gym for a family or the competitor. No matter what your jiu jitsu journey looks lIke this gym has the tools to get you to your goals.

This is the best place to train Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Des Moines area. They have awesome adult and kids programs focusing on true Gracie style Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Great instructors, students, studio and plenty of classes to attend. Caique JJ is the way to go. Welcoming environment gi or no gi.
My daughter has been a student for a little over a year, now. I cannot overstate the positive changes she has gone through in that time. She now has positive self esteem and a new found confidence that has allowed her to stand up for herself! I cannot thank the coaches enough for all they've done for her! Thank you all so much! If you're looking to get into BJJ, this is the place to go!
Did a drop in being from out of town. Large class of experienced fighters! Everyone made an effort to say hello and make me feel welcome. The gym shows respect and discipline ! If you're here for a day or a week drop in!
Great academy. Great people. Website made it super easy to drop in for a day pass.
Top tier BJJ in the DSM area. Beginners program is great for all levels. Thoughtful curriculum overall. For those that want to take it to the next level there’s a solid group of competitive guys to get some hard rolls with. Nice variety of capable instructors. Always clean facility l
Best Jiu-jitsu academy in Des Moines
I was visiting from out of state and wanted to get some training in. I stopped out and they were fantastic. The facility was well kept and the bjj was excellent. I had a lot of fun and competitive rolls with the guys. If I come back out to West Des Moines again, I would most definitely stop there again.
My son is super active and doesn’t listen so well but he loves this place. The instructors there are patient and strict at the same time. We will see with time. But I see a huge change in him at home. He wants to go back. Looking forward to seeing him get better. Clean and great people!!!!!
Great classes, great instructors! If you are looking for the best BJJ training in central Iowa look no further than Des Moines Jiu-Jitsu!
This BJJ school is top notch. The instructors are great and the students are very welcoming. I travel a lot and go to a lot schools. This place is very clean and the mats are really soft.
Top notch instructors, feels like my second home.
My daughter and I absolutely love this place. The instructors are great and they always make sure to have enough for the kids they teach. The kids range from different ages, sizes and backgrounds, which is wonderful. The children enjoy learning and watching is a ton of fun too! I can't wait for my son to start! He can't either!
i trained at another gym for year and a 1/2 . which i enjoyed every minute of . but i had attended a bjj summit at dmjj.and had some acquaintances there and friends that had been going so i tried it for a month and really got alot from this gym. needless to say i am a member now and found my spot here.the other gyms around are great but dmjj is really something if your looking for solid jiu-jitsu. its a top notch academy with great people and a friendly environment that makes you feel welcomed.
Respect! A great place to learn and take your skills to the next level. Much respect for professor Chris David, a great and humble teacher. And it showed through all the instructors, high ranking students, and beginners. Fun environment, all Egos all respected by the choke before you enter. 👍😊
I've been training there for couple years. The instruction is top notch and the training partners are great guys. It has been worth every penny.
Visiting from out of town and had a great NoGi class. Nice big open gym, great mats, everyone was friendly. Will definitely be back if ever in Des Moines again!
I train across town at No Coast BJJ, but typically try to make it downtown once a week to get some different looks from the guys and gals at DMJJ. Friday's 11 am open mats are incredible. Stacked room filled with the best grapplers in central Iowa.
I'm visiting from Phoenix and walked in as a guest to the Jiu Jitsu no gi class. I immediately felt at home. The instructor was great and the students were there to work hard and have some fun. I will return the next time I'm in Des Moines.
