All instructors are highly professional and they make you feel very welcome. Krav Maga is hard work but it's really enjoyable. Its definitely worth visiting for a few trial classes 👊🏼

I had zero experience with any kind of self defence techniques and was very nervous about starting but the instructors at Defend are absolutely brilliant and able to cater to all levels of skill and ability. They make you feel welcomed, push you to try your best and are very skilled instructors. They also make it a lot of fun! Can't recommend them enough!

Dave is a first rate instructor - very friendly and with expert knowledge. He demonstrates technique & explains why it works in the real world. You'd struggle to find a better instructor in the UK. Beginners are easily assimilated into the classes and lots of repetition means you learn fast. I make a 170 mile round trip to attend Defend. It's that good.

An amazing place to gain new skills. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in learning real-life self defence, getting fighting skills and increasing fitness level. I enjoy every session with Defend a lot. It is a pleasure to be a part of such an amazing club!

I joined the Defend classes over 2 years ago, not quite sure what to expect but wanting to see what I could learn. A couple of years on and it is so easy to keep coming back week after week! I really enjoy that the focus isn't just on technical skills but also covers recognising behaviours and choosing an effective strategy depending on the situation you might be in. The instructors are knowledgeable, engaging and most importantly, patient. They always push you to achieve your best and my fitness and confidence have both improved hugely. Couldn't recommend giving it a go enough!

I have trained with Defend-km for 5 years having (for the previous 5 years) done very little since retiring from playing Rugby. Defend offers practical principles in physically being able to defend yourself and others as well as a killer workout. Both Dave and Maria will coax, cajole and crucify (if you so desire!!) you through some great drills in striking, wrestling and functional exercise to improve strength, health and well-being. I am no longer a member of a gym as this training provides all the workout I need, and let’s face it- hitting stuff is fun!

I have trained in Dave’s club for over 5 years now and I cannot imagine who I’d be without it. It’s given me confidence, skills and fitness, everything he promised to deliver. Before I came to train I had a goal and I soon went above and beyond what I thought I was capable of. I found myself getting faster, stronger and more resilient to pressure and stress. Also, what I have found to be the greatest result of training in Krav Maga is that it has given me a chance to work out some mental trauma, and I worked hard for that. I would recommend this club to anyone who wants to test their mettle. If you’ve ever felt powerless Dave and the club will work hard to give it back to you. Learn to fight so you don’t have to ... or learn Krav Maga to survive.
