Adam is one of the most technically gifted coaches ive trained under. His approach, the way he articulates and explains movements are second to none. His humbleness is matched by his talent, and training under him is always enjoyable, fulfilling, and an experience I would recommend anyone to try. I wish Adam all the best with his Academy, and am excited to keep watching it go from strength to strength !

I have trained in a fair few martial arts gyms and this is by far the best! Adam is a brilliant coach. He is so knowledgeable yet the most down to earth coach I have ever had, which is rare for someone who is so accomplished! This creates such welcoming, non-judgemental, and supportive environment, which I’ve found is the best sort of place to learn in. Adam’s teaching is clear and thorough, and he is always open to questions. Everything we learn is soon put into a live context, so you can clearly see how to apply it in a competitive roll. I’ve found this to be a super effective approach. This sort of environment means that there is a real sense of camaraderie in the team, without it being culty! Everyone is really friendly and respectful. The higher belts reflect Adam’s humility and are patient with those of less experience, they are always down to explain things if you ask. Everyone is respectful in rolling and will happily match your pressure, whether you feel like taking it a bit easier or sparring more competitively. Thanks for everything Adam!

I've been training here for the past 10 months and cannot recommend Dark Path enough. The atmosphere in the room is perfect - a great balance of belts, ages, and sizes, with no egos limiting anyone's ability to both test each other and support each other - a rare thing to achieve. The training itself is very well structured, with a technique or concept being built on from class to class. Adam is ever present and runs every session, so there is consistency in what is being taught. Adam is always working around the room and giving additional guidance when needed so no one is left behind, and his knowledge and ability to articulate that knowledge is unparalleled. Jiu jitsu can be taxing on the body at times, but this is mitigated by warm ups that are deliberately focused on injury prevention, and a strong ethos of safety during application of technique and sparring. Everyone is welcome, and we have a great network of people from other clubs who drop in to train with us, as well as an unintimidating and welcoming environment for anyone new to the sport who wants to try it

Dropped in when couldn’t make it to my normal gym and received a warm welcome. Class structure was great and competitive but fun rounds. Heartily recommend dropping in to see them

Came down with a few people from my gym and it was a warm welcome followed by tough rolls, great space with equally great individuals. Looking forward to going back again🤙🏻

One of the best clubs I’ve been too. Really welcoming! Can’t fault Adam - he was excellent at explaining techniques. Recommend to all levels.

Adam is awesome! Super patient and really takes the time to explain things until you get them. He doesn’t just show a move and move on, he makes sure everyone understands the details. You can tell he genuinely cares about his your progress and wants everyone to feel comfortable asking questions. If you’re looking for a BJJ coach who listens and helps you grow at your own pace, he’s the one.

I’ve been training with Adam for almost two years, and it’s been an incredible experience. The classes are fun, challenging, and really supportive. I really like the stretching and yoga-style warm-ups — they help me loosen up and feel ready to roll. Adam is always helping us improve our technique and makes sure everyone keeps progressing. His 1-1 PTs are great also and really help improve any areas you might be struggling with. Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend Adam and this gym/classes enough!! It is rare to find someone with so much passion and knowledge but who is also such a phenomenal teacher. Such a great personality and he makes you want to be better. I was very tentative about starting these classes but it was the best decision I have made. Thank you so much Adam. 🙏

I visited Dark Path Grappling last month after a friend suggested trying the beginner class, and what a fantastic experience it was! The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, and really focused on learning. I was looking for a place with a supportive environment where everyone helps each other improve, and this was exactly that. Adam is a fantastic instructor with a real talent for breaking down techniques into clear, easy-to-follow steps, which makes everything so much easier to understand and apply. I’d definitely recommend Dark Path Grappling to anyone thinking about starting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or looking for a great place to train!
