Incredible coaches for children and adults who are high level jiujitsu and MMA. My Children have grown in confidence and discipline due to the great role model coaches at this gym.
I started training at Chris Rees Academy with a lot of anxiety and self-doubt, and it’s honestly been one of the best things I’ve done. The level of instruction is excellent, but what really stands out is the atmosphere Chris and the team have built. Chris is an exceptional coach who is driven to help everyone develop, whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced. The gym has a strong culture of people helping each other improve, and there’s a genuine sense that everyone wants to see you progress.
A brilliant gym with a really close, friendly and fun atmosphere. From day one you feel welcome, and it’s clear that people genuinely enjoy training here. Most members have been around for a long time, which says a lot about the culture and the coaching. It feels more like a community than just a gym — supportive, motivating and a great place to train.
I’ve trained at CRA for around 13 years now. Started at the age of 7 and I’m still there weekly at the age of 21, Chris and Aidan who run the gym are top guys and coaches and have always made it enjoyable for me. Always a good atmosphere and being there is usually the highlight of my day. Top cafe serving coffees and teas before you train too.

The best BJJ gym in South Wales, there is no comparison. World class competitors as coaches with a wealth of knowledge, you are literally learning from the best in the country. The atmosphere and welcome you receive is second to none and the respect within the club shown towards all members is evident from the minute you walk through the door. I would recommend CRA to anyone, whatever level of experience, look no further than here.

Posted 1 year agoFrom the moment I walked I was greeted with so much kindness and hospitality. This is something I have wanted to do for so long, but have always been too nervous. That first meet I had with Tom behind reception put me at ease and I knew I was going to start my BJJ journey here. Since then I became a member and everyone I have interacted with have been awesome. I would recommend this gym to anyone who wants to learn BJJ.

Posted 4 years agoProfessional, welcoming and very well run. My 3 year old and I sarted there 2 months ago, we were made to feel a part of the community within minutes. Great coffee too.
Posted 4 years agoHad my first lesson with C.R.A and all I can say is, wow! A wonderfully comfortable atmosphere where nobody looks down on you for being a novice. The instructor was very helpful and explained everything clearly. Will defiantly be signing up and doing as much training as I can. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking to start or even if you've been training for years, they cater to all needs
