I joined through a promotional offer that included a one-month membership, which provided excellent value. Mark is a solid teacher. His focus on strategy and the trial-and-error learning process made for a well-rounded experience. The daily BJJ journal was a particularly helpful tool, allowing me to get into the right mindset before class. Overall, it was a great experience, especially for a beginner.
Posted 1 year agoGood place to train. I actually trained with Mark before when Chuva was located in Garner, but this new location is much better. There is a lot more space and room for growth. The mats are nice and comfy.
Posted 2 years agoThis is the place to go to for quality Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction or to get a well earned workout. Mark is an knowledgeable instructor who is capable of meeting people where they are at in their experience level. The atmosphere is inviting so if you have an interest, give it a try.
Posted 4 years agoI walked in as a 38yo white belt who has always had a desire to train, but never time and money. Mark is an amazing, top notch instructor, that will teach at anyone’s level. Great workouts! and Great instruction. I would recommend to anyone, any age, and at any place in their jiu jitsu experience.
Posted 5 years agoFor the past 15 years, Professor Mark Christian has dedicated his life to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. His life experiences play an incredible and major role in how he teaches and shares his knowledge. He’ll meet you where you’re at in life, he’ll look beyond the exercises and curriculum to provide you a safe space, mentally and physically, he’ll show you that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is not just learning and executing the techniques during class, it’s also applicable in your daily life, so when the storm comes you know what to do. If you’re a woman, I firmly believe he’s the best person to help you feel strong and powerful, and most importantly, safe. Women are incredible at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and he sees that. This is his calling in life, some people share their cooking, others their music, Professor Mark Christian shares his passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, this is his art and it’s brilliant, it’s worth sharing, it’s worth learning from him. He genuinely wants people to be better, succeed in life, and my belief is that he’ll guide you towards that.
