I’m a 45 year old woman and I love that I can go at my own pace with no pressure!! We definitely found our forever school!! Posted a month agoI have been training at Chris Holdsworth’s Martial Arts Academy for over a year now and I can’t imagine training anywhere else. Chris is an amazing teacher and is extremely knowledgeable and detailed in his instruction and invested in every student’s success. He welcomes people of all skill levels and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you step onto the mats. The atmosphere and community is one of a kind and the people who train there are awesome. I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking to start of continue their BJJ journey!
Posted 9 months agoDarin responded right away when I contacted the academy and is very helpful regarding class schedule and sign-up. The academy itself is super nice/clean and easy to find. Chris leads a great warm-up and his teaching during technique is very easy to follow. He and Louis are very friendly and provide feedback and encouragement to the students. Everyone is very welcoming and respectful. Would highly recommend!
Posted 2 months agoChris Holdsworth Jiu Jitsu Academy is amazing. I have trained at several academies before moving to Sacramento and Holdsworth’s is simply the best. The instruction and community is top notch. My son has also been taking the kids class and is in love with Jiu Jitsu now. Chris and Lou are awesome with the kids. I would highly recommend this academy to anyone looking to train Jiu Jitsu.
Posted 2 months agoI started going to Chris Holdsworth’s Jiu Jitsu Academy in November of 2024. From the moment I stepped through the door, every single person I encountered was welcoming, down to earth and eager to help. Chris' prowess in Jiu Jitsu (and MMA) is well known and I was most impressed with his attention to detail and attention to each one of his students. The atmosphere and quality of instruction are truly special. The other Coaches, Dave and Lou, are great instructors, incredibly welcoming and invested in their students success. Even recently, as I have experienced some challenges at work, Chris and Darin have been beyond understanding, flexible and accommodating. I can not recommend this place enough to anyone interested in learning Jiu Jitsu and/or kickboxing from a UFC legend in a welcoming and friendly environment.
