Chesapeake Martial arts is great my little one Mohammed attended for over a year . I was so nervous to leave him becuase of his speech delay, but he really blossomed and learned such great skills . To see him go hug and kiss the teachers made me feel so much better that I was leaving him in safe hands . Thank you for all the staff and teachers at CMA !
My daughter went to CMA care from ages 2 to 4 years old. Overall is was a great experience! The staff were wonderful. The daycare is big enough for the kids to be able to socialize but small enough that the staff know all of the children. They have a nice playground, and a large area inside for lots of activities. My daughter was in their Pre-K 3 program during her second year and learned a ton! I strongly recommend CMA for anyone looking!
We have been visiting CMA Kids Care since January 2, 2024, and have just finished our time there only because we are moving out of Maryland. I have two boys, a 3-year-old who was in the enrichment program (full day) and a 5-year-old who attended the before-and-after school program. Both programs are fantastic! The enrichment program includes nap time and is open every day, regardless of the public school schedule. The before-and-after school program offers options for half-day and full-day care when public schools are closed (for an extra fee, but at an affordable price). CMA Kids Care is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, providing morning and evening snacks. They also try to spend time outside whenever the weather allows. The staff here is wonderful! Both my sons love their teachers. Special thanks to Miss Michelle, Miss Wendy, Miss Jessica, Miss Sarah, Mister Cory, and everyone else. Our family will miss you all dearly. I highly recommend this place!
My children have been attending CMA from the age of 5 (they are now 9 and 12). They have participated in the martial arts programs; summer camp and before/after school care. I have 100% confidence in CMA caring for my kids. Along with safety, one of the most important things for me is the communication. CMA has always been great with communicating with my husband and I about daily events, reminders, helpful suggestions, needs, issues, scheduling, etc. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they truly care about our kids. During summer camp this year, one of the teachers requested some suggestions of some activities that my 12 year old might like to do. I loved that she reached out to me because she wanted to make sure his age group was also enjoying themselves and having fun too. The director and owner are outstanding and truly supportive of our families needs. My kids always have a good time and positive experiences at CMA. I truly support this local child care center and appreciate the care they have provided my family.
My daughter goes here for drop in before and after school care and just went for her first year of summer camp and loved it! She thoroughly enjoys going to CMA and has grown to have such a bond with the teachers/camp counselors! We will be coming back for camp next year and for care during the school year! Thanks CMA!
I cannot say enough good things about the Summer Camp! My granddaughter was staying here for the summer, and she loved every minute of camp! Selina and her carefully assembled staff are beyond caring for our precious babies! It was a very tearful goodbye for Savannah on the last day. She didn't want to leave, and hugged everyone at least twice! From the field trips, to the water days, to the daily activities and crafts, this was an experience she will not soon forget! Thank you CMA Staff! I appreciate you all!!

I normally am not the type to write reviews or take the time to leave feedback, even though I should. But it always brings me to tears to think about how grateful I am for CMA!!! This was my son’s third year here, and he does not live full-time in the area so I can imagine it was scary the first time coming in, not knowing anyone, but the entire staff here just took him in and made him feel so welcome. and protected and loved, and it’s more than I could’ve ever asked for it. Luke has had a very rough couple of years, and with the help of his friends and the staff here and the trust built, he has been coping and moving forward and doing well. just simply saying thank you I feel will never be enough. I just know that the impact that you guys have on Luke he will forever remember:)
My daughter was part of a CMA family. My husband and I are glad that our daughter had a chance to meet and spend time with these amazing people. They are doing an incredible job, love the kids and the kids love them so much. English is not our native language but it wasn’t a barrier for them to communicate with my daughter. so she learned English in a very short period. We want to thank them all especially my daughter’s teachers Ms Nikki (my daughter loves her so much❤️), Ms Ida, Ms Kiaira and the director Ms Salina (the best director ever😍). Also thank you very much Ms Jessica, Ms Wendy and Ms Angie for everything what to did❤️ We love CMA family ❤️ 🥰 the gem of Eastern shore!
My son started in February of this year and he has some delays and Cma has been so wonderful with him and getting to know him and what works for him and it was the best choice I have ever made moving him there!

Instructors are very patient with younger students. Time in class is paced to keep them moving while they train.
I cannot recommend CMA highly enough. My kids attend karate classes here, and I’m extremely grateful that we’ve found this gem. The environment is fun and encouraging, the staff is incredibly friendly, and Master Sunil (the head instructor) might just be the most patient human that I’ve ever met. He’s personable, well respected in the field of martial arts, and his instruction is clear and well tailored to students of all skill levels and athletic ability. We are very proud to be a part of the CMA family!
My son loves going to CMA for martial arts classes. The facilities are clean and safe. They communicate well with parents and costs are reasonable. They also offer daycare, after school and camps. We are very happy with Master Sunil and the CMA family.
I bought my Son two weeks of martial arts for the Christmas promotion that they were running two years ago and it was the best present he could’ve ever received. He absolutely loves comfort and has learned and progressed so much!! Master Sunil is the absolute best teacher and we are truly blessed with his knowledge and skill.

Both my sons went there, my youngest has been going here since he was 2yo now 3.5yo. They’ve been absolutely amazing both at communicating and making sure that my son is taken care of. They love what they do and it shows, they’re very loving and accommodating. It’s about making sure families are taken care of. Their hours are amazing, whether you work short hours or extended hours, they will work with you. This year they started their prek program with a certified teacher and my son is learning so much about structure and responsibility. They help with potty training and they offer healthy meals and snacks too. The staff know the families by name and I’m always so happy to see them. My child has separation anxiety and they meet him at the door and make the transition so easy for us. I truly love it here for him, makes me feel at ease when I’m at work knowing he is in good hands.
We sent 2 of our kids there for summer camp and they absolutely loved it! Ms. Salina and her staff are so welcoming, the kids felt at home from day 1. Also, unlike most other summer camps, which are glorified daycares, CMA had activities and field trips planned every week! My daughter loved it so much, she was in tears on her last day. We will definitely be sending them back next summer! Thank you Ms. Salina and staff for making my littles' summer so amazing!
My 9 yr old grandson went here for summer camp. They had great field trips and the counselors/teachers are wonderful. This was our 2nd yr and will defintely do again.
CMA is the absolute BEST daycare, summer camp and after school care ever! My kids are the happiest there and always come home telling me the fun activities they did that day. The staff truly care about the kids and it shows. They cater to each age group and teach so much. The staff is super nice and my boys absolutely adore them. Mrs. Selena, Ms Amanda, Ms Michelle , Ms Nikki, Ms Angie, Ms Stephanie and the others, you guys are amazing and I wouldn't trust my boys with anyone else!
Chesapeake martial Arts is by far one of the best childcare facilities that I've ever dealt with. The staff is amazing and they try their very best to accommodate your child. This is the second summer my kids have attended CMA and there will be a third time!!! Thank you so much Mrs. Selena, Mrs. Amanda and CMA staff!!!
CMA has great staff, a lovely before and after care program, and an awesome summer camp. My son is having the best time there. The field trips they planned are so enjoyable and creative.
Since I've been taking Tai chi classes at Chesapeake Martial Arts, my balance and flexibility have improved, and I feel generally more "centered". Master Shakya Sunil is highly regarded in his martial arts fields, but is very patient and positive in his instruction, even with beginners and slower learners. I also appreciate the flexibility of class scheduling, and enthusiastically recommend this class!
I've been a part of CMA's Tai Chi class since 2019. Tai Chi is a great way to meet new people, set personal goals per various health benefits and to master those beautiful ancient skills that have been practiced for thousands of years dating back to the 12th century China. These skills are believed to have mental and health benefits which I can suffice. Unlike Yoga, Tai Chi is comprised of various forms that blend together into a series of graceful movements that flow in a slow, focused manner which is accompanied by deep breathing that brings forth a type of meditation in motion. Some of the benefits I've noticed from taking Tai Chi is that I have better balance and control, increased mental focus and decreased stress. As you progress from form 10 to form 24, you notice they get longer, which also focuses on increasing your endurance and stamina while focusing on your breathing, especially for someone who struggles with exercise induced asthma. As this class only meets twice a week, it's strongly encouraged that you practice daily to improve your forms and continue working towards your personal goals. I highly recommend taking this class!
Since being here I have seen such huge and great changes in my son who was diagnosed with severe ADHD at 4. Going from fighting everyday to even go into the previous center to not even taking his tablet now. Staff is compassionate and it feels like family when you walk in. The kids love going to "school".
My kids love it here! The staff is fantastic, the building is brand new. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for child care!
