I signed my kid up to give her something to do and didn't know how much more than that 410 has to offer. She gained confidence and social skills that will last her the rest of her life. I was so impressed with the programs I signed up myself to reinforce lessons she learned in class. You cannot find a more beginner friendly place. The community is welcoming. Very supportive, very cooperative. Everyone is just as invested in the success of the people around them as they are in their own. The coaches are second to none in their knowledge and competencies and teach lessons in ways that anyone could understand. I've never had trouble getting help when I've had a question or a problem. I have a lifting background. What I found through training the skills at 410 are the little gaps in my fitness that a typical commercial gym didn't show me. If you want fitness optimization you could do a lot worse than martial arts and if you're going to train martial arts 410 is a great place to do it.

My family has been part of this gym for going on 5 yrs now. We could not be happier. Not only have we found a place where our whole family can do jujitsu, judo, boxing, and more together, but we have found a second family. The coaches all go out of their way to make sure each student has all the tools to be successful. If you are looking for a place to learn mixed martial, look no further. Come by and do the free week. I promise you won't regret it! Picture featured is from one of our Judo classes. Judo is incorporated into every jiu-jitsu class as well as has its own dedicated night.

Best academy around!! My son is a state champion wrestler and has been with 410 since the gym opened. He was the first youth to start as a white belt youth and be promoted to a blue belt adult. This is not a gym to us… it’s Family!!!

I have about 10 years overall martial arts experience, coming up on 5 years jiu jitsu. In that time I’ve had the pleasure of training in a wide variety of gyms. For someone as invested as me, I was looking for the best instruction around to enhance my progress. 410 Academy is that place.

410 is such an amazing place for our son. He was interested in martial arts and once he tried the tiny tots class - he was hooked. You will not find two better youth coaches. Jack and Sean are so kind and patient with the kids but give them structure and command respect. If you have little ones interested in martial arts - 410 is the way to go.

What an awesome place! Sean and Jack are great guys, martial artists, teachers……the list goes on and on. If there is a legitimate, family friendly, high level Jiu Jitsu gym in the Salisbury area, it’s 410 Academy. Run don’t walk there!

I’ve been coming here for a couple weeks now and honestly I’m loving it. Classes are great, Sean is awesome to learn from, and everyone who comes to the classes are great to be around and learn with/from. Couldn’t ask for a better gym.

410 is home to our family. My sons train in the kids classes and both have grown and learned so much. The coaches are amazing and make sure everyone is taught and getting exactly what they need to grow and be the best they can be. We’re so thankful to have everyone in this gym in our lives.

My first introduction into training Brazilian Jiujitsu/any combat sport at all. I’ve always loved combat sports and the coaches at 410 Academy found the perfect way to pull me in now I’m obsessed. Everyone I’ve met at 410 is beyond helpful and egos never make it onto the mat. The mixture of comfortable and comprehensive teaching is gonna take this gym a long way. 10/10 recommendation for newbies, seasoned veterans, rusty high school/ college athletes, trying to lose weight, build muscle, if you’re wanting to move some body parts and stay active this the the #1 place to go!

Really great gym, and everyone was super friendly to be around. Sean took care of me while I was there from showing me different moves and positions in a one on one interaction with an entire class. It was really just a great place full of good people, 10/10 would recommend 410 for you and your kids to learn

Clean gym and great staff. This place is on the up and up. Lock in your spot now before it gets full. Sean is a great coach for kids and also great with adults. He's tough but kind, fierce but thoughtful and just an over all great human being. Totally recommend stopping by and having a chat at the very least.

This is beyond teaching a great skill set, it’s a place for personal development. Confidence, patience, humility just to name a few life skills it will build. Truly is a community not just on the mats but pool party’s, bbq’s, holiday get togethers, ufc fight nights. Great people, great coaching, great kids program. My only complaint is I didn’t find it sooner

I joined 410 this past April 2024. In the short amount of time, I have been a member of 410 team I can say it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made! The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and very easy to communicate with. The rest of the team at 410 also welcome me with an open arms. My self confidence, awareness, and overall health has improved dramatically since joining. Jiu Jitsu has become my escape from the world, and it is also something I can continue to do for the majority of my life. I would encourage 410 to any one of any age or gender to come out and give it a try!

From day one, I felt supported and encouraged by both the staff and fellow students. The training here is top-notch, offering a variety of classes that cater to all skill levels, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained. 410 academy of martial arts is an awesome establishment. Jack and Sean will go out of there way to help you grow as a martial artist in anyway they can from Brazilian jiu jitsu to judo to kickboxing/boxing. Any question I’ve ever had they’ve been able to answer. The environment they foster in the gym is a lot like a family you can walk up to anyone and start a conversation or ask for advice and they’ll treat you like you’ve been there for years. The judo program led by coach Dave is also amazing, he’ll work with you analyzing what your doing wrong and give you great constructive criticism along with in his spare time watching tapes of big judo events and figuring out how to apply them to his students. The youth program is outstanding as well I had both my boys involved in it in the past and they worked with every child as much as they can all while maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all of them. I view everyone there as a friend and entire there is amazing. Jack , Sean , Dave , Danny , Joey, Donte , Heather and Britney are all amazing coaches and great people and if your in the area and want to give them a try you should.

I can’t say enough good things about 410 Academy. From the casual hobbyist to active competitors, everyone is equally welcomed and valued on the mats. Jack and Sean are passionate about bringing the best, most effective BJJ techniques and methods into the Academy and it shows. The instructors in boxing, kickboxing, judo and womens BJJ are incredibly skilled, kind and welcoming as well. We’ve got students, high school wrestlers, 9-5 professionals, college professors, police officers, grandmas, dads with bad knees, and world-class athletes, all learning and training on the same mats. As a woman, I always feel safe, respected and valued at 410, and that speaks volumes about the culture of this academy. You won’t find a better place to train martial arts on the shore.

I've been training at 410 Academy of Martial Arts primarily in kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu, and I can't recommend this place highly enough. The prices are reasonable, which is a great bonus considering the high quality of training offered. The rolls are always challenging, ensuring that you're constantly improving. One standout aspect is the large participation of women. AMAZING women who are incredibly kind, and tough as nails. The classes are taught by exceptional black belts who are dedicated to staying up to date with the newest techniques and directions in Jiu Jitsu. This commitment to evolving their curriculum means that you're always learning the most effective and modern strategies. Additionally, the academy fosters a great family atmosphere. There's a dedicated children’s room to occupy kids while their parents train, making it convenient for families. I’ve always felt welcomed and have had no problem brining my 5-year-old with me while I train. 100% recommend 410 Academy. Even if it’s just a drop in for open mat. You won’t be disappointed!

I trained there for almost two years before moving. It gave me the best foundation and has allowed me to excel at other gyms. This is the best place for Jiu jitsu on the shore.
