My son has been a part of Champion Eyes for about a year and a half now. He started at the age of 4 and is almost 6. He has learned so much with all the senseis and they are all so patient with him but strict (which I love and wanted). He loves going to class and always has a smile on his face.

We love Champion Eyes for our 11 year old son. We can already see so much of a difference in his flexibility and strength in only a few months of training. Sensei Fidel does an excellent job of connecting with kids of all ages and teaching them discipline. We highly recommend.

This Dojo has been an excellent experience for our daughter! The Sensei really cares about the kids' development. He instills discipline, respect, attention to detail, and caring for others. My daughter loves attending class and learning. The students do earn their belts by practicing and focusing.

Sensei Armando and Champion Eyes are the best dojo I have ever had the fortune to come across. High quality does not begin to describe Sensei Armando and his dojo. For him, this is not a business but a way of life. Armando breathes and lives Karate. His passion for the art, his drive to maintain the highest standards in the way he teaches, his ability to inspire, and even him as a person are what makes this dojo a special one. When my kids attended, they were extremely happy and learned tons. My family had to move away from the area and I have to say that having to leave the dojo really hit hard. It is so very rare to find a dojo and a sensei as awesome as Armando.

Sensei Armando and his staff (specifically the one who teaches the kids class on Tuesdays and Thursdays) know what they’re doing. Nothing is fluffed up and you have to demonstrate your skills to move up levels. The dojo is clean and quiet and all feel welcome.

Great focused classes that teaches your child to be confident and accomplish their small (finishing a move or finishing class) and large (getting a new belt) goals. Large dojo compared to any other dojo in Oceanside. They do a good job learning new skills each week. A little more expensive than other dojos in the area, but you definitely get your moneys worth in quality and ambiance. Sensei Armando really cares about your kids building strong character and he knows it’s not just built over night. I have seen him take some very wiggly distracted kids and turned them into kids that respect their teacher and dojo (as well as making them more respectful to their parents). My son has been coming here for just over a year and he has had a huge improvement in confidence, respect to others, and he is stronger. At the end of each class, each kid tells all the other kids individually that they did awesome - love this action of kindness.

Sensei Armando Anselmo and his team instilled discipline and dedication in my daughter at the young age of 4 years old. Champion Eyes Martial Arts Center made a huge impact on her, shaping her life direction to be confident and to succeed in everything that she does. I highly recommend Sensei Armando if you want your child (or yourself) to learn from THE BEST!

My son has been with Champion Eyes since he was 6. He is now 15 and he is disciplined, dedicated, and goes 3 times a week. He has become more focused in the time he has been here and has more self confidence. He looks forward to every class. It's made a huge impact on his life. I do recommend.

Great experience for all ages! Sensei's Armando and Fidel are great instructors and seem to add something new in every class. The students are amazing people who always provide positive encouragement to each other. If you want to do something for yourself then you owe it to yourself to give it a try!

My husband, both of my kids, and I all train here. It's like a second home to us. We have seen such growth in our kids as they have gained confidence and strength, and learned the importance of self-respect and respect for others. I started at the age of 40 and have loved the amazing sense of community, not to mention the empowerment I feel as a woman training in martial arts. Everyone is so supportive, and the instructors are among the best in the world.

On my son’s first day of class he was timid and shy and didn’t even want to step onto the floor mat. He is only 4 years old. After 2 classes, he was no longer timid. Sensei Fidel made him feel comfortable and got him to get excited about learning and participating. Now, he often gets called to the front of the class to demonstrate, and he does it with courage and confidence each and every single time. I love this dojo! They teach self-discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem, and most importantly, respect and the ideology of working hard to achieve your goals. Sensei Fidel and Sensei Armando are amazing, and they teach with a style that incorporates fun and strictness. The dojo is super clean and is very zen. Couldn’t have asked for a better karate studio for my son!

The best dojo in town!! We are truly blessed with Sensei Fidel & Sensei Armondo’s teaching. They teach from their hearts!! We had a horrible experience at another dojo that we almost give up karate.. this dojo teaches the true value of karate, and I want my son to learn from honest & genuine teachers. Praise God that our neighbor Alex recommended this place to us & we love it here so much that we don’t hesitate to recommend this gem to our friends. My son has gained tremendously from confidence, independence, concentration, responsibility, teamwork & more. One of my favorite parts of the class is the kids saying “you’re the best!” to each other with a bow. They learn to respect and to support each other. I cannot thank Champion Eyes enough. Keep being amazing!! 🥋

Our son has learned a lot at Champion Eyes that goes beyond the dojo. Sensei Fidel has had an incredibly positive impact on our son. We've been attending this dojo for years, and all of the hard work, focus, dedication, and care has shown great results as our son is growing up with more focus, confidence and discipline. It goes hand in hand with what we teach at home and the dojo draws a strong correlation to good school habits as well. Our son is also learning self defense, standing up for himself and when it's appropriate to use his hands. Our daughter also attended the dojo for seven years and that time has had a big impact on building her confidence that she still draws on to this day.

We have been searching for the best Karate class for our kids and have researched and inquired to all available facilities around Oceanside. Champion Eyes is the only one that satisfied us. True enough, my son who is 9 y/o has been training with them for 3 months and have tremendously improved his focus, his confidence, and man, he’s just getting stronger and stronger! Sensei Armando and Sensei Fidel, knows the way. This place is 2nd to none. Truly, champion builders!

I'm extremely happy to have finally joined The Champion Eyes family! After years of Tae Kwon Do in my youth, I had stopped practicing after getting married. A few years I knew I needed to get back into in but I was always too busy at work. Years of procrastination followed and one day I came across Champion Eyes on Facebook. I walked in after work and watched the kids' class, it brought so many fun memories, I was exited! I decided to pay another visit another day, this time to see the adult class. I knew that I needed to join! Well, I've been active for a few months now and I want to say that I'm proud to have joined Champion Eyes in Oceanside. Instructors there are like family. They really take the time to teach good fundamentals and technique. Classes can be intensive and fast paced which helps keep us in better physical condition. It's never too late to join, I strongly recommed Champion Eyes for everyone. Doors are always opened, come on in!

My son (4 years old) has been going to Champion Eyes for 7 months. We LOVE this place. He's learned discipline, confidence and respect. The sensi's are so great with the kids, both the little and older kids. They're kind, but tough. I respect that they don't just had out belts, the kids have to EARN them. I would definitely recommend Champion Eyes to anyone.

It’s been a great experience for my kids! My 4 year old son loves coming here and my 9 year old are not as reserved and shy anymore. If you’re looking for a dojo that teaches confidence for your kids “CHAMPION EYES” is the right place! They are firm, strict but at the end of class they know how to have fun!

Champion eyes is great! Instructors are great with the kids and teach them very well. Brought my kids from another local school and there is no comparison to champion eyes. Not a belt factory the kids learn what they are supposed to in a great environment.

Champion eyes is a really great dojo. My son tried it out before we officially decided to join and within just 1 class I could see a difference in him. He’s really enjoying it and I’m so glad he can be active but also learning skills and life lessons. It’s really great for all ages! I’m so glad we found them!

My husband and I signed up our 5 year old son who could be described as strong willed, determined, stubborn, unbending... ha! We weren't sure how karate would work for our son who likes to say NO and do things his way. In his first class he did excellent and obeyed Sensei. I almost fell over when he said "sir". Sensei Armando and Sensei Fidel are doing wonderful work with these young kids teaching them respect for others and themselves, that karate is for defense not fighting, and along they way they are explaining to the kids what's right and what's wrong. I even watched Sensei walk a child back to the bathroom and remind him to wash his hands, turn the light off and shut the door. I've watched kids walk in shy and walk out confident. For us, it's been a very positive experience and our son loves going to karate. We've watched his confidence build, we've watched him treat others with respect and he's doing better in school. All things my husband and I have tried very hard teaching our son, but somehow Sensei has a great way of working with our son. They are firm, yet kind and we are so thankful we were introduced to Champion Eyes by a friend. It's been such a positive experience I signed up for lessons and now my son and I have a cool hobby to share together. 5 stars from the Daniel's!

Sensei Armando has set up a positive environment that focuses on developing his students as martial artists. This is not the regular after school Karate program. Sensei's passion for his martial art is evident in the way he teaches, trains and maintains his school. Our son has been attending for 6 months and has developed a passion for Karate that was completely unexpected. Many parents who you will meet while supporting your child will tell you how much their child's character has improved during their time at Champion Eyes. If you have young kids, Sensei Fidel is amazing! His passion and skill for his art is evident in the way he passes the practice to the next generation. He also has amazing weapons skills! Champion Eyes is not a belt factory. This is a school that focuses on long term development of the next generation of our society.

Sensei Armando is an incredibly gifted martial artist who he has passed down his talents to the other instructors; Sensei Nick, Sensei Fidel, Sensei Neil and Sensei Chris and Sensei George. They have classes for all ages and experience levels including weapons classes and cardio classes. I have never been to a dojo with a greater sense of comradery and support. Champion Eyes is a fantastic place to train whether your goal is to gain self-confidence, practice self-discipline or to lose weight, I cannot say enough good things about Champion Eyes Martial Arts.

We were here for two years. I was on the fence between 4 and 5 stars. It's a 5 star martial arts education. But on the business/customer experience side of things where my down sides were, it's not a 5 star experience. The Up Sides : 1) When I evaluated martial arts schools, I paid a lot of attention to the brown and black belts - the product of the school. Here, they were all mutually respectful and genuine as opposed to the very angry, gruff black belts that we saw at other places. 2) The facilities are nice. As a parent, I didn't mind taking the time to read a book there while my son was in class. 3) There was a variety of classes and times available so I could make it work with an otherwise busy schedule. 4) The teachers are all patient, knowledgeable, open to questions and took their time teaching each thing they worked on. 5) The curriculum was not just physical. Very often in class the instructor talked about things like confidence, respect or having a work/school/life balance. 6) They had a few special needs students at any given time and they were always very patient and inclusive of these students. They did not single them out or let them slack but still managed to help them keep up. 7) We had a contract - but the school was really amenable to working with us around odd scheduling issues we had where my son was not available to take classes for a couple of months out of the year. 8) The school had lots of activities for the younger kids to keep them engaged. I was always impressed with how crisp and fierce the younger kids were. 9) Belts aren't handed out like attendance badges here. Our down sides : 1) It's pricey. Very pricey. Like borderline painful pricey, on a middle to high income. Our compromise (between my son and I) was that my son had to commit to going 3 times a week to bring the cost of a class down under $20. To make it a good value, this really had to be a high priority. 2) I was always being sold something. In addition to the high contract prices, there are testing fees for every belt (5 belt tests ran us almost $300) and equipment for every 'type' of class (sparring, weapons, etc). More than once, while I was watching mys on's class, I was "offered" the "opportunity" to sign up for classes myself - or once, an entire portion of my son's class was dedicated to this third party who came in to sell everyone on their nutrition shakes. 3) I was not always impressed with the outward behavior of the owner. He very often chose explosive yelling at students rather than a more constructive approach and the few classes he taught that we participated in often went over on time (sometimes as much as a half hour), demonstrating a poor lack of respect for everyone else's time. He really has a "If you don't like it you can leave" perspective (he said it repeatedly while teaching), which I'm sure he feels comfortable with, given that you are tied into a contract - but it really leaves a poor taste in the mouth over all. His behavior did not demonstrate the mutual respect that he talked so much about of that I came to expect from the teachers he trained.

The owner/sensei here is not a very good teacher but is however a great high pressure salesman. Basically he's just an angry little man who bought a school to make some money off unsuspecting parents. And just wait till you see how much it costs! Most the positive reviews you see below actually come from fake accounts or people he offered a free testing to in order to get them to post a good review. If you want your child to be a good person please don't take your children here, it's a bad influence on a kids personality.
