Posted 11 months agoI am deeply grateful for this school. Cassio and his family have created a community that supports a healthy learning environment. As a woman in this school I have always felt safe and well respected in this predominantly male art. The school is very much set up to be inclusive. There are a great deal of those training and devoting their time towards competing as well as those who can make it in a few times a week between work and family. The age range spans from littles in the kids classes to those in their 60’s. Again, I am deeply grateful for all the personal growth that I have gained from this art, as well as the learning process and sense of community this school has afforded me. 🥋🙇♀️🙏🏻
Posted 1 year agoTraining at this jujitsu gym has been an incredible experience! Professor Cassio embodies old-school cool jujitsu with his welcoming demeanor and amazing instruction. It's inspiring to see someone who still competes and brings that level of passion and expertise to every class. The gym itself is fantastic, filled with amazing people who are all friendly and ego-free. It truly feels like a community where everyone supports each other. A lot of good encouragement but no pressure to sign up for tournaments. I have really enjoyed my time training here over the last few months, as someone who took a bit of time off and on with jujitsu over the last few years, I find that this school really helps motivate me to being more consistent and repair my strategy/game. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to train in a supportive and motivating environment with top teir instructors!
Posted 1 year agoI’ve been going to Werneck for almost 7 years off and on. The training is great, I always learn something when I’m paying attention. When I don’t someone will help me. Everyone here is very respectful, friendly, and always looking out for one another, feels like family.
Posted 1 year agoStarted training here last year and I am very happy with my choice. The level of instruction is incredible. Learning from a world champ means you are getting world class training. Cassio’s other instructors embody his beliefs and teaching styles and provide outstanding instruction. His students are friendly and encouraging. Haven’t experienced any bad egos here. The place is clean as well. Come give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
