This is by far the best place to train in Shreveport. The instruction is some of the best I've experienced. I highly recommend training here.

This place is awesome! I dropped in for a class while working in Shreveport and it was a great experience! Everyone was friendly and the instruction was top notch! I strongly recommend anyone interested in top notch Jiu Jitsu instruction come in and give it a try!

I have been impressed from the almost immediate response via text re my inquiry. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back, and the staff is second to none. Both my son and i are both enjoying our classes and we are excited about making it a normal part of our life routine.
Great people and great jujitsu
My son just started here at the end of summer(2019). He's never really been into sports, but he loves his Tuesday/Thursday class. He's learning some great discipline that comes with his study and the staff is excellent. They take time with each student during the classes.

Amazing place for learning jiu jitsu for both children and adults alike! There are multiple classes that fit almost any type of schedule and level of experience. You won't find an instructor with more knowledge or teaching expertise anywhere around as well.

Great place to train, I drive an hour from home to train here as much as I can! Coach Wayne and coach Danny are pushing for world class jiujitsu in the area. Great facility and excellent staff, things that are rare these days in gyms. Highly recommend giving it a go!
If I could give 100 stars in would! This school and the families it brings together is amazing. I could not ask for better role models for my two sons. They have brought nothing but confidence and integrity to my son's everyday life on and off the mat in or out of the class room right over to home. BJJ class went very good tonight! The higher ranked men are so patient and humble it really opens that window of opportunity to grow! When my father died in March I really started to look around and search for a means of not only physical discipline, but mental as well. I'm no stranger to a gym, I've worked out in them, trained clients and managed the business end. I needed something that was beyond my comfort zone, something that would break an ego, challenge me to be on my back and know I could have the upper hand (literally & hypothetically). I TRULY believe with all my heart, that May 6th (my birthday and 1 year anniversary of burying my grandpa) that it was by no mistake that I came across that flyer that said Machado Jiu Jitsu. I want to continue to grow as a human, learn more and be able to stick around here on earth as long as I can to watch my nephew grow. I thank God for the fire he's walked beside me through, and as far as BJJ, I truly thank coach Danny Creech for allowing me to train under such an amazing curriculum designed to mold individuals and open their ability in unexplainable amounts. I guarantee you, if you will simply make that first step and give it one day, you'll never look back, you'll grow beyond measure, and have something that other people will want! Best part is, they can have it too!!! Where's the 10 star rating button!!!
My daughter has been attending Jiu Jitsu here since they have opened. Since she has started they have treated us all like family! Love this place and the wonderful instructors who teach what they love to do!!! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone!
Fantastic school and instructors. Our son has tried out several sports and nothing has grabbed his attention like JiuJitsu. I believe a lot of that is due to the excellent instructors at RCJ Machado. He wants to go class and learn new things and better his craft, something that RCJ instills in the students. It's not just about being better at JiuJitsu, it's about being a better person. The instructors have the patience to deal with many kids at once and still earn the respect of the students with the perfect balance of instruction and silly fun. The school is a wonderful place of learning and camaraderie. It wont take long to feel like part of the family at RCJ JiuJitsu.
I love RCJ Machado Jiujitsu! I have been there since they opened almost two years ago. I think I was their first student to enroll. I had prayed for a place to open on my side of town and when I heard about them, I knew that was my place. My goal is to get my black belt before age 70. It is such a fun workout. Every part of your body is exercised and strengthened as we roll with one another. I feel a part of the Creech family and my Jiujitsu friends.
I thought since I was so small that I wouldn't be able to do that but after a couple of months of their teaching and hard work I feel confident that I can take anyone on. They offer a great kids class also. Make an appointment you won't regret it.
I am a first year medical student, and I needed something to help me destress and take my mind off my studies for a couple hours. I have been at RCJ Machado Shreveport for almost a year now, and it has been just what I needed! Danny and Jodi are an awesome, awesome power couple. Danny is an excellent instructor, and he really makes sure that you understand the fundamentals so that you know why you're doing something vs. just doing it. Everyone makes you feel welcome, and everyone is always willing to help everyone else get better at BJJ. It is great exercise, and I have gained lots of friendships while being here. Oh, and it just a ton of fun!!
This has been by far the best activity my son has done. Both of my boys attend classes and they love it. Not only do they get to learn jiujitsu from talented instructors, but they also learn about respect, courtesy, and responsibility. It is a character building program and it is helping our boys grow into good young men while learning how to defend themselves and build confidence.
I have two grandsons and two other family members that are taking this class. Danny and Jodi and the rest of the crew do an excellent job at teaching the kids martial arts but also discipline, respect (for others as well as for themselves), and self-esteem. My grandsons school work has improved as well as their actions at home. I would definitely recommend this class for children and adults.
Coach Danny Creech is not only a great instructor but also a man of integrity, much love and character. My son loves him and his family and that is the most important thing. Shreveport is lucky to have such a knowledgeable and caring man.
I signed my son up almost a year ago and this has been by far the most productive sport! I have seen an improvement in my son's coping skills, discipline, and overall confidence. The instructors are amazing, they love like a family and teach great instruction. My son has always been into trying new sports and RCJ Machado Jiu Jitsu has won over even baseball!! He never wants to miss a class. He is even enthusiastic about working out. We love it there and I am so thankful for their help in making my son who he is becoming today!
We signed our son up last August and since then his grades have improved from getting D's and F's to honor roll. I later joined because I saw how much it did for him. I joined in December and in just four months lost 40lbs and have seen a dramatic improvement in my own lifestyle. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Great instructors and a family like atmosphere.
RCJ is not just about teaching BJJ; Danny and Jodi teach their students life lessons. My son has found self confidence on the mat, respect for the art of BJJ and the difference of competing and self defense in a real life situation. The caring family environment has led to my son finding best friends, relationships that I know will last a life time.
This is definitely a place that offer life changing lessons from kids making D's in conduct turn into A's, kids that were C average is now A average. It also teaches kids respect and how to step up to bullies and gain confidence within themselves. This also give adults life lessons as well, teaches us how to be discipline and these decisions to stay disclipline can keep you out of jail, it can also keep you discipline in marriage by making you stronger and not giving up so easy. Of course the Ju Jit Su is amazing and the patience and teaching that is offer makes Ju jit Su fun and it becomes very addicted and you also make your body stronger with the cardio Ju Jit Su brings.

AWESOME PLACE TO TRAIN BJJ
Great place to work out! I'm a big guy and was worried about whether I could even try this sport. The instructors were great, however, and have helped me a lot. Definitely recommend RCJ Machado of Shreveport to anyone looking for a jiu-jitsu school.
The entire school provides a great atmosphere and instruction for children and adults. This isn't a daycare for kid's. They teach discipline, self-defense, self-worth and fundamentals of jiu-jitsu
There is no better community than the BJJ community. The pride in the art, the competition, the people, the cardio, and just the atmosphere. The people here truly teach Martial Arts. My son also goes here and is getting more and more confident by the day in what he is able to do. I have lost at least 20 pounds in 2 months, and more importantly, I have gained stamina and the strength and energy to play with my kids. I appreciate you guys. I will be there tomorrow.

There are Jiu Jitsu schools everywhere. However, finding a school with intelligent, focused, caring, and dedicated professionals is a rarity. RCJ Machado has all of these values and more. I have trained BJJ for 10+ years and have two boys (8 and 10) that train as well. Making the 75 mile drive from Texarkana is a treat for us to train with the Shreveport team. Coaches Danny and Jarrod have a unique combination of skills that together make for the ultimate Brazilian Jiu Jitsu experience. You would have to drive at least 3hrs to get a comparable experience. Get in there and become part of the family.
My 12 year old son started some months back & he absolutely loves everyone there and learning jiu-jitsu....they are great with kids & just a perfect environment for the whole family all the way around....
My son Connor was glued to video games and his iPad. He had zero interest in sports or anything athletic. We tried the 6 week trial at Machado Jiu Jitsu and he took an interest. He is now signed up full time and goes 3 days per week. He loves the exercise and the training. We couldn't ask for better coaches. They are all very knowledgable and show genuine care to each student.

Machado Jiu-Jitsu in Shreveport... Danny is doing his very best to create a Jiu-Jitsu school that people from every walk of life can enjoy in a safe CLEAN environment. Also RCJ Machado Shreveport runs the AC during the summer, no having to go to the ER due to heat stroke. Mats are cleaned after EVERY class as well....
This school is both a Tae Kwon Do and BJJ school. I took the BJJ classes throughout the week. Unfortunately the head instructor was out for the week, fortunately class was still conducted by a knowledgeable blue belt. This appears to be a relatively new BJJ school so there are a lot of white belts. That is fine and understandable, in a few years they should have a good showing of color belts on their mats. Be sure to swing by and give this gym a try!
Horrible gym for kids. If you care about your kids safety take them to a different BJJ gym!! The owner only wants your money and doesn't care about your child or their wellbeing!! I would give him zero stars if that was possible!!
Literally left after the first day. Staff was very unwelcoming and treated me like I had been there for years when it was my first day. There’s really no progression system and the guy I was rolling with said to just kind of figure it out as you go. Idk maybe that’s just how it is, but if you go in expecting to actually be taught things I don’t think this is the place. I was a Day 1 beginner and nobody showed/taught me anything or even tried to help me.
