Fantastic club! Really friendly and inclusive atmosphere, with skilled instructors and a good mix of levels of students. Dojo is also the national sports centre, so is very well set up (it is where the national judo team train.)
I just love it. Have tried several martial arts over the years, karate, kick-boxing, aikido and bjj. I never stuck to any of them and assumed it’s just a not for me thing.
After just two sessions I honestly believe this is the one. Already there are many reasons
1/ I really like the art. The style, the practice and the pace its japanes juijitsu and just what I’ve been looking for.
2/ The attitudes of the instructors / sensei’s They are patient, helpful, clear, have humour, and show genuine care, there is no ego here at all.
3/ Family centric vibe there are members here who also bring their children and the club feels like a family oriented set up it’s great.
4/ the members are all super helpful, friendly and happy, there no pressure to perform perfectly, everyone gets stuck in and love it
5/ Comms. The club answered my initial query email I sent on the off chance within hours. I turned up for my first session, surprised that I was expected; they knew my name from the off. “Are you Jamie”.. soon as I walked through the door. It’s just a nice touch.. the club watsapp group is active with reg announcements / invitations to events socials
I am so glad I contacted the JuiJitsu Caerdydd via the website And joined.
