Very knowledgeable coach and team members. Very supportive, patient and nice community - led by Chris, Lindsi and all the purple belts! Great and consistent class schedule. I’m a newbie to adult BJJ and I feel that I have everything I need to be successful in my journey. I hope the gym can refresh/add more external-facing signages so it’s more visible and attract more people to explore the art with this great group of people.

My 7 year old son has been going to Burien BJJ for a few months now. We were nervous what to expect on the first day, but quickly realized there was nothing to be afraid of. He fit right in the first day as all the kids were welcoming. This is a fun environment where the kids learn important life skills while having fun and playing some games. All the students and all the coaches are terrific. We are very happy we gave Burien BJJ a chance!

Our toddler is in the minis program, and we couldn’t be happier. A welcoming place for all people, and so much patience with the kids. Coach Lindsi is one of the best instructors I’ve seen with little kiddos.

Two of our kiddos go to Kids BJJ here. The coaches have been exceptionally patient with them as they learn BJJ. One of our kiddos is a little more nervous than the other and the patience and understanding as he learns the art of BJJ by the coaches has been outstanding. They come home everyday from class excited and waiting for the next class. We tried out a few other local children’s martial arts programs before deciding on Burien BJJ and the reason we chose this program was it seemed like coaches really cared about the art of BJJ, ensuring fundamentals were learned etc. Highly recommend to anyone whose interested!

We recently moved to this gym, because we recognized that Burien BJJ has an exceptional program, with an emphasis on learning a lot of technical and fundamental skills. We value the respect that coaches' have for students, and their expectations of respect from students, creating a safe and healthy environment in which to learn.
